Me: “I’m going to have to cancel the contract as the landlord doesn’t want me to install the fibre optic broadband anymore” @virginmedia: “Maybe you should just buy the apartment, it’s not very expensive or anything” Confirmed. Virgin Media is Tory.
-
Paul G (@PaulGmedia) reported from Whitley Bay, England
@virginmedia My contract has expired and I’m wondering what options are available if I decide to sign a new one. Feels like it’d be easier to leave, tbh. I’m also moving house so wanted to discuss moving service to new address. I appreciate you’re busy, but it’s an absolute nightmare.

DaveChristieImaging (@davechristie15) reported from Shiremoor, England
@louisewil86 @yanic1965 @virginmedia Refuse to pay for a month...any contract by law gives you 14 days to cancel!
-
Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

-
John McGann (@McGannJohn) reported from Whitley Bay, England
@virginmedia amazing concept of telling people who have no Internet at home to log onto an Internet chat room to get help with getting their Internet back, do I get a refund for the data used to tether my laptop just to get access to customer service?

@louisewil86 @yanic1965 @virginmedia I'm supposed to be on 50mbs...nowhere near! What they dont tell you (any bband supplier) but my engineer does....is that the fibre cable only goes to your local substation box...then thru copper cable to your house ...so slowed down automatically!

John Lacey (@schizoid007) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia #disability They never called back. As explained 360 box not #accessible in a #Blind home
-
Greg (@gregofallgregs) reported
@virginmedia The technical team didn’t help. I’ve requested a dongle and they’ve sent out a 3GB on data limited one. How is that going to replace unlimited 350Mb download internet. The next available call out is 10th May and you’ve leaked my numbers to scammers
-
Lewis (@Smiggylfc19) reported
@virginmedia The break down shows last months bill as unpaid and a late charge on top of this months bill, however, I had this whole bill wiped as good faith due to a complaint so this isn’t ideal to see this on my bill today
-
Mike Gill (@M_J_Gill) reported
@virginmedia I tried that last night and it took 2.5 hours without resolution :-( . I suppose I will have to try again
-
Orla Harrington-Browne (@orlabrowne) reported
@virginmedia Ok. That’s great but I have tried to do this already today. And the automated service sent me a link via text to fix my issue. I need a human to arrange an appt. Please can you call me as I haven’t got time to be chasing something which SHOULD have been done 2 days ago
-
Jay (@jsquires1990) reported
@virginmedia I am on M200 and they said that the hub 4 should help. But cant upgrade it as the hub 3 isn't broken! - Its just not fit what I need so I use my own router but this means no stream now as I don't use a VM hub! Seems an odd decision.
-
Jay (@jsquires1990) reported
@virginmedia Its not a speed issue, its the hub that drops device connections.
-
Darren Windsor (@Windsor1995) reported
@virginmedia I don’t use a wired connection. Are you actually doing anything to look into this or just sending links to your website which tell me nothing? It just says ‘we’re looking into your issue’ - but I raised it on 8th April and it was escalated on the 14th and haven’t heard a word…
-
Orla Harrington-Browne (@orlabrowne) reported
@virginmedia This is absolutely rubbish. How do I cancel this service? I want to cancel it now!
-
Steff (@dinobhoy) reported
@virginmedia After a 50 minute phone call yesterday I think that someone may be on the case now. I’ll wait and see as I’ve already been told it would be fixed in 48hours two weeks ago. Paying over £1000 a year for a sketchy service
