Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Trafford Park and nearby locations:

  • mark001282 Mark Armstrong (@mark001282) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia I spoke to your customer service team on 2nd January who advised all issues had been resolved and my sim card was being sent out by royal mail delivery. Even with any postal delays out of your control it seems odd that it hasn't arrived.

  • mark001282 Mark Armstrong (@mark001282) reported from Manchester, England

Every time speak to @virginmedia @Virgin customer service I die a little bit inside #emogirl

  • sharper76 Smyth Harper 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇺🇦☘️ (@sharper76) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia In the orders and appointments section it says there are none. The text I have received confirming the appointment and threatening me with a £25 fine is different to the one offered to me by your customer services.

  • sharper76 Smyth Harper 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇺🇦☘️ (@sharper76) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia I’ve just connected a new router for faster speeds and it isn’t working. I’ve called up and your customer services person who told me contradictory information, put me on hold and then hung up on me.

  • mark001282 Mark Armstrong (@mark001282) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia As I say. I don't like publicly shaming a company that was once good. But your customer service is an absolute disgrace

  • Slt4K SLT4K 👨🏻‍💻 🇬🇧 (@Slt4K) reported from Urmston, England

@virginmedia / Super disappointed after calling to renew my contract and as an existing customer you can’t offer anything half as good as a new customer. Shocking customer retention strategy 🤯

  • AckersStorm Chris Atkinson (@AckersStorm) reported from Middleton, England

@virginmedia when will the broadband issues be fixed properly in my area?

  • mark001282 Mark Armstrong (@mark001282) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia Don't give me your copy and pasted waffle. You have done nothing to help. You have been an absolute thorn in my side! "I'm so sorry you feel this way" is such an outdated and terrible response from a marketing point of view btw.

  • mark001282 Mark Armstrong (@mark001282) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia I've been a customer for 10 years. Is this how your treat your loyal customers?

  • roslers_vest Scott Moseley (@roslers_vest) reported from Rochdale, England

@bluecitygirl232 @virginmedia I had the same issue with them in December always down not reliable couldn’t WFH so binned them off went to BT and fingers crossed not had an issue to date

  • mark001282 Mark Armstrong (@mark001282) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia you have caused me nothing but hassle for months now. Your customer service team are completely useless.

  • johnsonhomes2 johnsonhomes (@johnsonhomes2) reported from Sale, England

@virginmedia The guy I spoke to at VM yesterday said that she wouldn’t be eligible for a “disabled” phone line to be installed because it wasn’t claimed when they dug the front garden up 18 months ago. We were never given this as an option at the time, if we had we would have insisted on it.

  • EdwinDa18453545 Edwin Daniel (@EdwinDa18453545) reported from Stockport, England

@virginmedia @richardbranson @VirginMediaCC unethical practice & worst cust serv.after 50 days of total loss of service and no resolution and taking 52 pounds for that period from me now they are denying compensation as well as refund of monies taken.

  • bigdave22003388 Dave (@bigdave22003388) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia im guessing technical support ain’t working ? Got no tv and can’t get any help

  • SiManM20 Simon Manning 🇪🇺 - SiManM20@mstdn.uk (@SiManM20) reported from Manchester, England

@nrgloz @virginmedia Your paying 75% of what we are for 35% of the d/speed there. Neighbour has just switched to Brsk - it’s full #fttp so 1Gb both up/down rather than the 52Mb UL Virgin offer via DOCSIS. £40pm

  • sharper76 Smyth Harper 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇺🇦☘️ (@sharper76) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia No it’s not, and it has now transpired that your customer services agent told me a direct lie that there was a fault in my area when there is not. Someone else has now booked an engineer to come out - next Wednesday. I can’t even have my heating on as that’s controlled vía wifi

  • johnsonhomes2 johnsonhomes (@johnsonhomes2) reported from Sale, England

@virginmedia Her phone like works at the moment because she has power but not in a power cut. This is one of the issues set out in the email which VM requested I send on Wednesday

  • johnsonhomes2 johnsonhomes (@johnsonhomes2) reported from Sale, England

@virginmedia If that was the only issue than yes that would be the logical next step. But as you’ll see from the previous tweets and email sent on Wednesday it isn’t. All the issues need dealing with in the round or otherwise I’ll have to cancel and go back to sky.

  • anttaylor23 Anthony Taylor (@anttaylor23) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia The what's app line is fine, your advisers don't seem like they want to keep me as a customer. Well not for a decent price anyway 👀

  • nathangreen101 Nathan (@nathangreen101) reported from Ashton-under-Lyne, England

Hi @virginmedia is there a particular reason your engineers phone to say they are here but never actually turn up?

@virginmedia Across all devices. I'm not sure how to register the outage? Don't know how to identify hub!

  • outpld9 outpldsusd FB (@outpld9) reported

@blitz674283 I have virgin media aswell with lan cable never ever lagged in my life but yesterday around 8-9 last hour of ps cup I had problems for the first time and got packet loss

  • martyvoll Marty (@martyvoll) reported

@virginmedia This is as bad as your customer service not knowing how the rise is calculated a 13.8% rise on £29 is £4 rise which is still an inflation busting rise, how is a 24% rise justified, you are ripping off your customers How many of your staff have had an inflation + rise this year

  • Jessica_Wing_26 Jessica Wing (@Jessica_Wing_26) reported

@virginmedia “John” you’re not helping the situation. I think your manager needs to be looking into this. I have already logged a complaint that has been escalated. But it seems I will have to log another as now my request has been ignored. Asked for a call back and yet to receive one.

  • sdb Steve Bentley (@sdb) reported

@virginmedia it's not a query, it's a statement of fact: you have a fault on your network affecting access to Amazon and AWS. And no, I'm not going to waste an hour while your tech "support" repeatedly miss the point and have me do things on their script that I know won't resolve it.

  • AdamSte72612415 Adam Stephens (@AdamSte72612415) reported

@virginmedia A 22% increase is a joke to a monthly bill investing in your network , but 1GB download speed service constantly gets you less then 500mbs definitely be leaving with this increase.

  • charmedanita Anita Smith (@charmedanita) reported

@virginmedia my internet has been off all day since early hours of the morning. Can someone please contact me?? Online chat is not working?

  • g65432100 Prasad G (@g65432100) reported

@virginmedia Ping-Pong, No help when I call support, Rude staff and throwing T&Cs at me, We can't change your plan, even though it is under cool off time period. Wearing out the customer from Social media to support and back again!
