@virginmedia There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the phone, I can travel to different areas and get 4 bars on my phone and it works no problem, the problem is in the area I live. The reception always used to be fine but for quite some time now it’s been awful, I currently have one bar.

  • NJWesthead
NJW (@NJWesthead) reported from Rawtenstall, England

@virginmedia Broadband/TV outage until 2:35pm but can’t register a loss of service as page doesn’t load. On 4G so problem is with you. Why advertise you’ll compensate if there’s no way to get it?!

Moved from @skytv to @virginmedia after 8 years and being a VIP customer with Sky. Poor service and a huge increase in price. Lost a longstanding customer. Now to try Virgin Media and see how this goes.

Gareth Rider-Smith (@gazbullsfan22) reported from Keighley, England

@virginmedia when is someone going to ring us back after the failure to apply the package to our account we sorted on the phone yet still hasn’t changed or a manager ringing back to deal with the complaint. Shocking services but soon quick to mailing bills out!

  • mikeyparkinson
Michael Parkinson (@mikeyparkinson) reported from Burnley, England

  • xNasminx
Nasmin Shabir ♡ (@xNasminx) reported from Keighley, England

@virginmedia Yes I always use the service status tool... But still signal is constantly dropping, which results in resetting the router . Not happy to say we pay £45 a month for just broadband alone and can hardly get online most of the time... It's frustrating

  • deghunter
dianeG (@deghunter) reported from Brierfield, England

@virginmedia trying to work from home with regular weekly loss of broadband isn’t a service, it’s a disgrace. Will be leaving

  • ryanchapmanx

@geewelchx @virginmedia Mate I was on phone for a hour told them to shove their internet up their ass and going elsewhere Lmao their customer service is shocking so I did it back

  • wightpie
Wightpie (@wightpie) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia So why then a) does it specify postal and b) not provide a field for mobile number. At best it’s misleading and at worst incompetent

  • WainwrightDean
Dean Wainwright (@WainwrightDean) reported from Accrington, England

@virginmedia Thanks for fixing it this morning, I trust given I’d no service for circa 36hrs I’ll see a credit upon my next bill?

  • EmilyMc767
Emily (@EmilyMc767) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia It’s a media account, but it was more about the quality of the call. It’s not the way to treat a customer. Thanks

  • mooseandme1
Moose And Me (@mooseandme1) reported from Great Harwood, England

Cracks me up that the main feature of BT’s internet provision currently being advertised is that it breaks! And you can book a slot to fix it Why not invest your advertising budget in stopping it from breaking? Not to be smug but (touch wood) @virginmedia has never conked out!

  • MATTYB00SH
𝕄𝔸𝕋𝕋𝕐𝔹𝕆𝕆𝕊ℍ (@MATTYB00SH) reported from Burnley, England

Switching broadband providers from Virgin Media to Sky is proving to be such a bad decision while trying to work from home these last 5 weeks. Multiple connection drops every morning. It's a poor situation when tethering to your phone data is far more reliable. @SkyHelpTeam

  • NickyRobbo80
Nicky (@NickyRobbo80) reported from Blackburn, England

If 2020 was an Internet provider it would be @virginmedia Solve the problem of losing IP address by restarting router. It was restarting the router that caused it. Restarted anyway and now the router won't connect to the Internet and all devices say no IP address #stressed

  • Dazmac1882
Daz Mckavett (@Dazmac1882) reported from Burnley, England

@virginmedia because you are providing a service that doesn't work, i presume i can leave without a fee

  • gazbullsfan22
Gareth Rider-Smith (@gazbullsfan22) reported from Keighley, England

@virginmedia You haven’t applied the contract you sent out and the balance on our account is double the contract charge and your advice said pay in full to speak to someone if not it tough. And then said it would then be credited on the account. Your advisor are no help.

  • FloButcher84
strange little Flo (@FloButcher84) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia still no broadband in bb3 area since Thurs & update now says tomorrow for fix. Shocking customer service, why can't you tell your customers what is happening instead of saying an engineer is on the way on the updates, at least then we would know what to expect

  • ToddCoxeter
    d f (@ToddCoxeter) reported

@Shiv_who_burns @virginmedia Rude, no? I swear that, for Virgin, mumbling in accents in a noisy call centre is a deliberate tactic. Anyhow. I switched to basically a business broadband. It's both a bit dear, and cheaper than those pirates.

  • NataliaKallai
    NataliaWilson92 (@NataliaKallai) reported

@virginmedia can you tell me why I had one of your employees hang up on me abruptly today after speaking to me like utter rubbish when I confirmed I would be cancelling my contract. Complete and utter obnoxious ignorance.

  • Bowtomephil
    Phil (@Bowtomephil) reported

@Stsantek @virginmedia The worst of it is that the 28m fine will not be distributed to all those it affected. OFCOM will use it to pay their CEO etc a large bonus.

  • ericthecatmk2
    Chris Mullan (@ericthecatmk2) reported

@Ofcom I had this problem with Virgin Media 4 years ago and told them the reason I'd never go back to them was because how difficult they'd made it for me to leave them. Months of stress

  • Nic_Nic88
    Nichola (@Nic_Nic88) reported

@virginmedia been in chat with yourselves for nearly an hour to be disconnected and no resolution

  • BluemoonAmy
    Amy McManus (@BluemoonAmy) reported

@virginmedia Had no broadband service since Tuesday evening. Service update showed fix yesterday by 16:07, then today at 16:07 and now tomorrow at 16:07. Totally unacceptable. When will this be sorted. M46.

  • mrrjwilson
    Rob Wilson (@mrrjwilson) reported

@ToddCoxeter @virginmedia I remember trying to cancel my broadband and the guy was just downright rude and obstructive. I vowed never to use them again and ripped out the ugly cable termination box from the front of my house.

  • DanCPhillips
    Dan Phillips (@DanCPhillips) reported

@Ofcom Virgin media has been awful to deal with for as long as I can remember, it's ridiculous that it has taken this long.

  • DoctorDisco63
    Owen Luckhurst (@DoctorDisco63) reported

@MartinSLewis @MartinSLewis hearing about Virgin Media today I’m not surprised. They did the same to me around 2020, except they lied to me about my cancellation date. By the time I called to cancel, they said it was too late. So I disconnected everything and didn’t pay them a penny more.

  • iadnan9
    Addy (@iadnan9) reported

@virginmedia Virgin Media fined £28m over 'deliberately dropping calls' and putting people on hold 'for no reason' Customers trying to cancel or switch were routinely put through the wringer by Virgin's customer service agents, an investigation by the regulator has found.
