Latest outage, problems and issue reports in North Weald Bassett and nearby locations:

  • PinkDotty_Sarah Sarah Yard (@PinkDotty_Sarah) reported from London, England

I have noticed a lot of people complain about the service received from @virginmedia for broadband. @Ofcom please can you look into this? We pay for a service that has constantly let us down for many months.

  • Adrianmilesarch Adrian Miles (@Adrianmilesarch) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Service status says no known issues but when I call over the phone an automated message refers to intermittent problems last two days and that engineers are taking a long time to fix complex problems. Currently ok but recently every day there is a long period of issues.

  • shaomeeng Shaomeeng (@shaomeeng) reported from Walthamstow, England

@BruceBa06826486 @virginmedia Really cannot understand why virginMedia has selected to lower down its customer service quality? What did it get, a cheaper labour ??

  • shaomeeng Shaomeeng (@shaomeeng) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia Your agents promised respectively on feb 13 and mar 6 to get back via writing; sadly I’ve heard nothing from them. You are unreliable and time wasting and now would cut off the service again due to another ‘outstanding’ bill

  • JamesJWalsh James-J Walsh (@JamesJWalsh) reported from London, England

@virginmedia I have been “on hold” since 1851 for a customer service agent. This is kinda cementing my view of needing to leave.

  • Adrianmilesarch Adrian Miles (@Adrianmilesarch) reported from London, England

@virginmedia broadband has been absolutely dire in the last few weeks. Phases of outage or sun 2mbps speeds. Anyone else experiencing similar in SE26 area? Remember it was around cold snap it got bad - maybe affected the infrastructure.

  • M0BPQ Steve Bunting (@M0BPQ) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia Sadly the service is rubbish again today after a couple of ok days.

  • shaomeeng Shaomeeng (@shaomeeng) reported from Walthamstow, England

@BruceBa06826486 @virginmedia Why would virginMedia CEO hire the bullying to treat the customers like this ?!

  • tonywiseman1976 Tony Wiseman (@tonywiseman1976) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Don’t tell me what to do. I want this tedious issue RESOLVED!

  • AdiStaempfli Adi Staempfli (@AdiStaempfli) reported from London, England

I understand it takes time to replace fibre optics. I don‘t understand why @virginmedia sends out messages that are plain wrong. My connection is not working, has not been working ever since Tuesday evening. Is this to avoid having to pay back customers?

  • KBHeadteacher Keith Barr (@KBHeadteacher) reported from London, England

@virginmedia any chance of connectivity @KenderSchool ... ? Any help would be welcomed, please...

  • walshChanny Channy (@walshChanny) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Yes I did, a VM agent went through the whole event and resolved it for me. There are thousands of VM customers in a FaceBook group suffering similar problems it is called Virgin Media Customer Service.

  • walshChanny Channy (@walshChanny) reported from London, England

@virginmedia That is what happened. If it didn’t happened to you it is even more strange. Do you want me to do it again and record it? In the meantime, I was contacted today and agreed a way forwards to stay with VM. It is quite hard to have to deal with bad customer care while grieving.

  • shaomeeng Shaomeeng (@shaomeeng) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia Apart from saying sorry, can you genuinely do something to help customers ?

  • bazelrock Paul Berry (@bazelrock) reported from Tottenham, England

@sainsburys Update, it might be @virginmedia with the problem.

  • M0BPQ Steve Bunting (@M0BPQ) reported from Walthamstow, England

I’ve had awful internet speeds for a couple of weeks from @virginmedia . (<10MB on a 200MB plan) Their call centre has said this is due to an upgrade that will take a week to complete. Which ISP do I move to?

  • lotfredjanlee Lee Gildersleve (@lotfredjanlee) reported from Watton at Stone, England

@virginmedia my WiFi is so bad that come 7pm we have to switch it if on our phones and use our data. I’ve just tried to book a service call only to be told I can’t as they are doing work on our area and it will automatically get cancelled. It’s been bad for a year now!!!!

  • PinkDotty_Sarah Sarah Yard (@PinkDotty_Sarah) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Thank you but we have complained and no response. We are with you because you offer 200Mb and we need that, the closest competitor offers only 60Mb. It’s frustrating that we are paying for a service that is not guaranteed

  • M0BPQ Steve Bunting (@M0BPQ) reported from Walthamstow, England

@HavocTechie @virginmedia Thanks. Router has been rebooted and factory reset. I installed a wired Lan in lockdown 1 to solve poor wifi but unplugging that switch and going straight into the router doesn’t work either. Now no service at all. 😩Again.

  • shaomeeng Shaomeeng (@shaomeeng) reported from Walthamstow, England

VirginMedia used to have an executive team which were willing put things right by hearing customer complaints, investigating them, and providing fair solutions. Is that team still available? @virginmedia

  • ash_mcloone Ashley McLoone (@ash_mcloone) reported

@virginmedia Would u break this down. All i said to u was you didn't tell me my spending cap was done. I didn't know i wouldn't be able to call/txt etc. I mentioned to u i did take make it uncapped as it kept going over £10pm. And now I'm unable to txt i had to put a spending cap on again.

  • peggsy15 stephen peggs (@peggsy15) reported

@virginmedia Not yet, your agent refused to put me through the anyone technical as she had told me what the problem was. I dialled 150 with options as required but put on hold so gave up

  • andywebster5 ANDY WEBSTER (@andywebster5) reported

@virginmedia signed a contract last year , currently on hold to cancel the lot, had enough of this twice a year ritual .

  • sidzthename sid (@sidzthename) reported

@virginmedia All I’m asking is for a service that doesn’t randomly go unresponsive. There’s areas of my house where signal is non existent and if it wasn’t for my own data plan I’d be offline. And yes, I’ve gone through all your self help procedures plus even making you aware of it.

  • SilentBigBen Silent Big Ben (@SilentBigBen) reported

@virginmedia @hcarter_history I have booked a technician for Friday. I can’t imagine broadband will be down anywhere near that long but reaching out to report individual faults helps area faults get flagged so I suggest everyone tries. 0845 454 1111.

  • ednewmy Ed 🏳️‍🌈 (@ednewmy) reported

@virginmedia So if you're looking to do more for me as a customer how about offering me the same price going forward rather than doubling my bill during a cost of living crisis.

  • adizjapalmer Diz (@adizjapalmer) reported

Think I’m going to cancel this Virgin Media you know.

  • Hgillala Hari Gillala (@Hgillala) reported

@virginmedia Why can't you provide email address for cancellation instead of an hr waiting time or bot's which never tested .. sick
