Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Enfield Lock, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Enfield Lock and nearby locations:

  • jeanrauwers Jean Rauwers (@jeanrauwers) reported from London, England

@virginmedia getting these emails saying “we are sorry you are leaving” but I didn’t cancel my service with you guys. Should I be worried about it?

  • aliciaverbs Alicia Carney (@aliciaverbs) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia Looping this conversation back into noisy, bottomless support channels and forums isn't gonna cut it. I am fed up from wasting my time waiting on hold for 45-90 minutes only to be told "we've already told you engineers are coming, bye." This is infuriating.

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@virginmedia As I said, I am aware of the contract - however it reflects very poorly from a customer service perspective. You can’t offer a service to the capital city and want to charge me for your lack of coverage. Shocking business practise. #avoid #ripoffbritain @bbcone

  • hasnat2002 Hasnat Ahmed (@hasnat2002) reported from Ealing, England

@virginmedia Is there a broadband internet problem in the W5 1JG area. We have been having problems since yesterday (7th May). Working from home is being disrupted as well remote school learning for imminent A-level assessment

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@MartynJohnPR @virginmedia I’m half way through an 18month contract - so it would be slightly more to let in run out. So frustrating as they’re saying it’s a disconnection fee but are the ones forcing me into it as they don’t offer the service

  • derekcburgess DEREK BURGESS (@derekcburgess) reported from Walthamstow, England

******* typical. Self isolating & my @virginmedia Internet & TV have gone down due to some issue in the area. Had just started working my way through season 8 of #SilentWitness.

  • Mbilla_Arts Mbilla Arts (@Mbilla_Arts) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia There was a fault- already checked. Need to know why this keeps happening - paying £63 a month for a service that hardly ever works!

  • aliciaverbs Alicia Carney (@aliciaverbs) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia There's always engineering work. It resolves a drop in the bucket when there are reported outages every. Single. Day. Not being hyperbolic. We were told we need to call and document every issue. So we do. Every day the automated message says engineers are coming. It's a joke.

  • medicman2011 Peter (@medicman2011) reported from Loughton, England

@virginmedia Of course I'm a customer. It's you renewals call centre that ring twice a day.

  • UB5simon Simon Bye 🎪🔶 (@UB5simon) reported from Ealing, England

@Kezza101064 It's the old equivalent of the wi-fi going down for ages, otherwise known as being a Virgin Media customer.

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

Terrible customer service from @virginmedia . Don’t offer coverage at my new house and want £250 to cancel my existing connection. Would be happy to take it with me but they can’t offer a service (that should be their issue not mine). #dreadful #avoid

  • PactzLdn P_R£NZÉL (@PactzLdn) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia outage🙃, they best reimburse my data as im trying to finish it till this issue is resolved 🤔

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@thealisonedgar I would understand if they offered a service and I was choosing not to take it. They can’t offer a connection in London - it’s not the outer Hebrides. Leaves a bitter taste. Will never go back to @virginmedia

  • Anthony_Lonres Anthony Payne (@Anthony_Lonres) reported from Kensington, England

@virginmedia Your online status reports no faults but as I said in the thread, I have called your support centre at least 10 times & they confirm there is a fault which has been the case since the 2nd of March. I am assured, every time I call, that it will be fixed within 7 days. It never is

  • N19Local N19 Local (@N19Local) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia Virgin Media services - you should treat existing customers as nicely as you do new customers.

  • andypurbrick Huey Morgan Gluten Freeman (@andypurbrick) reported from Walthamstow, England

@LDesesperes @virginmedia Customer service is terrible, no point in making a complaint as they say they'll contact you to discuss but never bother. As soon as an alternative option comes to our address we are leaving

  • notquiteYao Yao Song Ng (@notquiteYao) reported from Islington, England

I love @virginmedia ‘s new initiative to get customers to reduce screen time and experience world. As a customer you will be connected to Virgin Media wireless whenever available and have absolutely no data at all.

  • mariobucolo Mario Bucolo (@mariobucolo) reported from London, England

@virginmedia i have an issue on my broadband...just 2 after i complaint against a openreach engineering. what a coincidence!

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@virginmedia I am not disputing the validity. I am stating that this is dreadful customer service. You cannot offer a connection and therefore I have no alternative. This is reflective of your lack of coverage. The poor customer service certainly means I’ll never be back. A very bitter taste

  • aliciaverbs Alicia Carney (@aliciaverbs) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia Yeah, there are outages. Every single day. I can't remember a day WITHOUT an outage. The only reliable part of my wifi is that my colleagues expect it to be painful talking with me. It's embarrassing. Contract ends in October. You're gonna charge me £250 to leave. I've tried.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • JamesMahonTV Dr. James Mahon, Journalist (@JamesMahonTV) reported

    @virginmedia No issues it says

  • HelenRParry Helen Forbes (@HelenRParry) reported

@virginmedia what’s the process for escalating a complaint? I’ve spent several hours trying to resolve a diminishing signal issue, had retentions try to upgrade me ‘to solve it’, then fail to reverse the associated cost increase when asked to, and now my emails are being ignored.

  • Charmainerice Charmaine (@Charmainerice) reported

@virginmedia Hard as they can!? It’s Thursday you are telling me they will fix this. I am assuming I will get money back for all these days effected. It’s not workable

  • youngdannyboy Daniel Young (@youngdannyboy) reported

@virginmedia Yes but I have little faith. The chap on phone, said he did a line test and all was fine, only to end the call saying there’s a known outage will be fixed by 10:45!?

  • BarrettBunnage Gabriel Barrett-Bunnage (@BarrettBunnage) reported

I an unable to log into my account as I have not received an account number to log in with and find it next to impossible to contact @virginmedia as the system is highly automated. Due to the shocking service, I want to cancel but I appear unable to. I’m being held hostage.

  • DaddyCasual Mark68 (@DaddyCasual) reported

@virginmedia My landline phone has not worked properly for at least 2 months. I've constantly phoned u wasting hours talking to an incompetent operative. Each occasion an engineer is booked which u then cancel stating u found a fault. Still have no landline. Sort it out. Useless

  • rpittham rpittham (@rpittham) reported

@virginmedia I’d rather have internet. 4th day of issues. Customer support is dreadful.

  • Roswell1960 Roswell (@Roswell1960) reported

@virginmedia Thank you , just spoke to the virgin help desk and was told that it may be back in another 1 and a half days ??? Bear in mind that it was allegedly fixed last Thursday evening . So no internet for days. Which means I can’t work either.

  • leonkopite77 Leon Owen (@leonkopite77) reported

@virginmedia My hub is upright and not blocked, I'm using internet 2 metres away and still very very poor. Sometimes I cannot watch recordings from other TiVo box because of slow internet, it's frustrating but I'm paying £75 a month and not getting the service I pay for.

  • adebradley Adrian Bradley (@adebradley) reported

Who at @virginmedia thought that the 'your box is working just fine' light would be Magenta and 'your box has a problem' light should be flashing red.
