Thanks @virginmedia for charging us a disconnection fee of £230 after being told we wouldn't need to pay a fee on the phone. Despite the fact we are being kicked out of our house and you don't provide service in our new area. Really classy move.

@MediaLow_down @virginmedia Not yet! Hope they will. Yesterday was awful- over 2 hours on the phone. They told us they could do it so we didn't sort out a new ISP now my partner will have to miss a week of work and I won't be getting any school prep done from home before new term.

@virginmedia I can’t seem to get through to speak to anyone to assist with an ongoing issue we have with our TV service. For over a week when trying to watch TV the picture is distorted/pixelated. The only time I can watch a clear picture is when I watch Netflix.

@virginmedia Thanks for your help. All sorted at about 10:00 this morning (Friday 19 August). Evidently two of the cables in/out of the box on the outside wall had become disconnected. Rejoined them & within about 10 minutes broadband connectivity had been restored.Huge relief!

@Nakedterry @virginmedia They did this to me. I got them to listen to the call where it’s clear that I cancelled. I hear this is very common. They don’t tell you to advise on writing, try to sell you better package and don’t cancel your service.

@jayrayner1 @virginmedia Changing is actually remarkably easy although you need to ensure that VM know you’re leaving in writing as that’s a wee scam they love. I switched to BT, saved £10 a month with wifi in every room and haven’t had a single outage. VM went down every day for at least 5 minutes.

@virginmedia we have another network outage in our area. 15 hours and counting…. No communication on when we can expect to have service again. I’ve been with Virgin for less than two weeks and this is our second outage… I was with Open reach previously and never had one.

@virginmedia We started with the complaints link, sent an email to that department and their reply was about a different account. This is just like our son says, going round and round in circles but not able to get in touch with the cancellation team and no one prepared to own the problem.
