@virginmedia Fastest UK broadband. That’s a maybe, but what you fail to say is that you will suffer regular outage and won’t be able to work. But that’s ok because you’ll pay £16 compensation for hours of lost production.

@virginmedia my broadband is still down since this morning. Your engineers have not fixed the issue although your automated system says no issues in area. Please tell your engineers we are still down in N21. Impossible to talk to a human. Very frustrating.

@doismellburning @danpalmer I have a self-hosted box with DigitalOcean in London. My use case is isolation from local networks and ISP privacy (I know I’m just moving the problem, but I trust DO more than Virgin Media). For those cases, VPN providers are a haven for data collection, so no.

@virginmedia 12 hours without Broadband at BH5 2EB-Phoned 151 answered loads of stupid questions to be greeted with “ours offices are closed”! Registered for fault updates within the first hour, nothing - diddly squat feedback! Complete waste of time and very frustrating!

@Misherwood78 @virginmedia I recommend giving them a wide birth tbh. Their service dropped for us v regularly for long periods of time and customer service was abysmal. If you have any other option, I’d take it. I fear this will just be the ‘first frustration’ of many.

Seems like the @virginmedia dns issue is still ongoing. I dearly wish they’d put it on their status page ASAP when they’re having an issue (they must know immediately right?) All the suggestions to just use 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 are all well and good but those are 3x slower for me
