@VodafoneUK Hi. I’m an existing customer who is now out of contract. I’ve signed a new contract with you but via a 3rd party website (sooooo much cheaper!!). I’m assuming when the new phone arrives tomorrow you can transfer my existing number onto my new phone / SIM?

Forgot to pay @VodafoneUK by 5 days. Vodafone’s answer? Not to remind me, but to get @TheZincGroup to send a letter saying they’re going to cut me off, possibly add £638 or send to debt collector making it £841. *clears throat* go **** yourselves!

@VodafoneUK I’ll give them a call. I’m just surprised that a new ‘upgrade’ contract will be £10 more a month than I’m currently paying. But the new same phone and overall package (data mins etc) is cheaper for a new customer. Why would I upgrade? Might as well just wait a couple more months.

@markchristie I enjoy feeding you material! I’m caught in a similar loop with @VodafoneUK at the moment. The problem is that the people manning their social handles don’t have any more information than is available on their website and, crucially, no authority. It’s so damaging to the brand.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone called me and offered an upgraded phone but actually opened a new contract and charged me for it for 2 years. Tried to cancel over 100’s of calls often in tears of fury. Had to go to Ombudsman who made them apologise and refund me £100. Which wasn’t enough, frankly.

Despite my brother asking them repeatedly to change the account they simply cut my frail, wheelchair-bound father off, so he had no communication, then refused to reconnect. Shocking treatment of grieving people

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I paid for a @VodafoneUK sim card with unlimited minutes and texts and a 40GB data package to cover my trip to the Lakes. Data worked but minutes and texts didn't! Following their link to check balances, both said unlimited. Couldn't get through to customer services...

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Sorry for your lost. Cancelling all these contracts can be very upsetting but this really is extreme. Had a much easier and sympathetic experience with tesco mobile when cancelling my mother's account. It can be done correctly, certainly shows @VodafoneUK in a bad light.

Took over a week of my time on the phone to be told the same 🤬
