Nobody knows what’s going on. CCTV, card terminals and computer all left useless with no net.

Though I did have a BT router once (Smart Hub(?)) with known issues for some smart devices. I thought they'd phased that out but maybe not. A fix simply did not exist.

It's how I flew under the radar when I lived in France in an unapproved residence.
