@virginmedia @btsport as a VM customer with the BT Sport add-on, can you explain to me the idea behind having the only reason I have the BT Sport add-on, UFC, having major events locked behind a secondary paywall and then still increasing the package cost. Not only double

@jonsmile @bt_uk I also fly through here every other week. It works fine outside but the building acts like a kind of huge faraday cafe and really hinders the connection inside. The WiFi is bad too

@bt_uk @MikeAubury Read this as: Whenever we feel we can fleece customers by holding big events to random behind a 2nd paywall, we will. Forget that customer already pay a premium to receive BT Sports, because we couldn't give a shit.

Person calling from 01272 990574 purporting to be from @bt_uk about our internet security and someone was misusing it. They’d have to be good as we don’t have BT B/Band at this location. 😂😂 He wanted to show me if I signed onto s/thing. Phone put down once I called him out. 🤣

Excellent news form @btbusinesscare my December bill includes £245 for an engineer visit that the engineer concluded was an intermittent line problem at their end. So, still got vaguely dodgy internet and even though BTs responsibility they expect payment.

@CarolynOtley @cumpstonarchive @bt_uk Current mitigation should be energy distribution networks supplying generators for longer power outages. As for telecoms, UPS/Battery backups but would only last a few hours at max. Amazon have solar battery packs to charge mobiles which may help too. pt1

@CarolynOtley @bt_uk I agree Carolyn, the first time I’d heard about this. Our reception is so poor we can only use mobile phone via broadband 😡

@bt_uk Your Internet delivery speeds are so slow, it is virtually impossible to watch a programme, on a streaming service without constant buffering. 😱😱😱😡
-
Carolyn Otley
(@CarolynOtley) reported
@jamclarkey @cumpstonarchive @bt_uk I think the issue here is a lack of rural proofing. Yes, on average most power cuts are short. But when you live in a remote area, they tend to last much longer, you’re far less likely to have a mobile phone signal, and you’re far less likely to be able to drive to safety. 1/2

@bt_uk It's 12C in here and you want me to turn it down! Sadists. BT please concentrate on broadband, Work From Home & Local Office solutions. This would help cut domestic commutes saving millions of tonnes in carbon emissions from fuel consumption & infrastructure. #ClimateAction
