@theashrb Hyperoptic is actually a good network (used to work for them). Starlink makes sense if you live in the sticks

  • noopdles
    sad jester (@noopdles) reported

@GeneticGenesis @Hyperoptic I know, I bet they're just overprovisioning the network and overselling. If you look at reddit there's plenty of recent posts with the same **** download speed issue.

  • TweetsAht
    Tweets AHT (@TweetsAht) reported

@Hyperoptic why has a 14 minute wait time for an agent turned into a 30 minute wait. New customer here and I'm thinking I should cancel my order

London-based friends here, do If any of you use Community Fibre or Hyperoptic? If so, could you let me know how happy you are with it? Any problems with set up or service? All feedback much appreciated!

  • karenthompson52
    karen thompson (@karenthompson52) reported

@Hyperoptic Disgusting service from Hyperoptic. Had it installed yesterday and zero internet. Loss of service light flashing red. Can’t use my lighting, heating or front door intercom. Hanging on to call for 30 mins still not through. No response to my emails.

  • stuarthazeldine
    Stuart Hazeldine (@stuarthazeldine) reported

@TheLionXB1 @Hyperoptic 3000 customers are down in NW & W London. A ‘Zayo link’ is down. A main Internet fibre highway, apparently, but one just used by Hyperoptic customers it seems. No idea when they’ll fix it.

  • Saiccc2
    Saika (@Saiccc2) reported

@Hyperoptic It really seems that your network is having some problems recently, as so many people are experiencing this.

  • StainYNWA
    vsquad22 (@StainYNWA) reported

@Hyperoptic Definitely not hyper reliable. London, NW10 has dropped to 2Mbps even though I paid for 1Gb. I've been on hold with tech support for 45 minutes and then the connection mysteriously drops out. Get it sorted for goodness sake! Cheap prices = poor service

  • Mr_E_O_
    CyberPips_EO🥷 (@Mr_E_O_) reported

@Hyperoptic any issues with your network today? Not had Internet around the DA17 area

  • CicomoNosca
    Shivers (@CicomoNosca) reported

@theashrb Unfortunately I can't get Hyperoptic in my area, but I do pay £33 a month for 900mb down and like 100mb upload with EE. Still cheaper than Starlink. Not trying to knock the service because I have friends in rural areas who use it however it definitely isn't cheaper
