  • MissKristy_LH Miss Kristy 🇮🇪 (@MissKristy_LH) reported from Tottenham, England

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk Nevermind, I have just read through the thread and noticed many @Barclays shout outs all over the thread with responses from them. I will be going there. 👍 Hope this issue gets sorted for you.

Can’t quite believe I am taking to twitter to get someone @santanderuk to talk to me about a major banking error (theirs) that needs urgent attention. Only been a customer for 40 years. Hours on hold, cut offs, no calls back, for 5 days - just call me!@jaydunne81 @santanderukhelp

  • willow1886 John Williamson (@willow1886) reported from Enfield Lock, England

Bloody @santanderuk they’ve frozen my account; I’ve just spend 1.5 hours trying to get through to the fraud department, put on hold, cut off and absolutely nothing. I can’t access my account - fuming 😡

@santanderuk are the worst. Completely ridiculous bunch of clowns. Just shut your private banking operation down if you can't be bothered to provide customer service.

  • chrisromerlee Chris Romer-Lee (@chrisromerlee) reported from Lambeth, England

@AmySharrocks @santanderuk Left them years ago. Terrible bank. Hope you get it sorted. Presumably there’s a banking ombudsman?

  • jenofthejenjen Jen (@jenofthejenjen) reported from Bromley, England

@santanderukhelp Out of the blue - bam, no reason but app access locked. All cards declined. No access to money. Sorry, but Santander needs 48 hours to figure this out (or in my case, 3 months & counting!) Guess you’ll just have to be homeless. Love to see Ant & Dec act that one out! @santanderuk

  • pmancat David Crossinggum (@pmancat) reported from London, England

  • Webbo2306 Webbo (@Webbo2306) reported from Bexleyheath, England

@ClemFandango61 @santanderuk I hate them machines but it's not so easy going inside a branch when they keep closing them down and the ones that are still open close at 3pm. Putting money in my own account has become such an inconvenience and it's something I need to do at least 3 times a month😤

  • GraceCuddihy Grace Cuddihy (@GraceCuddihy) reported from Lambeth, England

Calling the customer care line for @santanderuk makes you lose the will to live. I hung up after the third time the automated voice told me to inexplicably make a recording of my own voice for “security purposes”.

  • KingmanSimon simon kingman ⭐⭐ (@KingmanSimon) reported from Crayford, England

@santanderuk hi can someone help with a maturing fixed rate bond for our children. The woman we spoke to said we have to do it online is this right?

  • CopybyAnna Anna Pattenden (@CopybyAnna) reported from London, England

I seriously am shocked at @santanderuk - the people, many of them elderly and this probably means no access to online banking, standing for ages and ages in a queue in Lewisham branch. It is truly shameful…

  • youvsyoultd Ahmed Mohammed (@youvsyoultd) reported from Tottenham, England

@santanderukhelp @santanderuk I’ve contacted your customer service team twice.

  • sleepysilvery peter howard (@sleepysilvery) reported from Kingston upon Thames, England

  • WatkinsonGary gary watkinson (@WatkinsonGary) reported from Islington, England

@santanderuk @santanderukhelp Been trying to report a fraud to you, been holding half the morning. About to hang up. Your service is not good enough. Obviously fraud is not a high priority to you.

Santander Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • MyzLilith Myz Lilith (@MyzLilith) reported

@bethanyrutter @santanderuk You have to be logged in to the banking app to view your pin. So if a criminal can see it, they're also already in a position to transfer your entire balance to another account. But the fact that these people managed to unlock the phone *and* access the banking app is terrifying.

  • ooohalolipop Ooohalolipop (@ooohalolipop) reported

@MorganBroadcast Charlotte this is truly awful, as you say a bomb exploding at every turn! @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK you should be ashamed & this would stop me using your services! Protect your clients & have support services for victims not some clippy gatekeeper who obviously doesn’t care!

  • Epsom_Chinn Cllr Kate Chinn 💙 🇪🇺 🇺🇦 (@Epsom_Chinn) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk I had a card stolen and the PIN number used 2006/7 time. I made a statement saying I had never written it down as I changed it the day I got the card. They accepted this and reimbursed me so that’s 16 yrs ago. I believe banks know it can happen !!!

  • Tigersimon1967 Simon Martin 💙 (@Tigersimon1967) reported

@MorganBroadcast Charlotte, appalling ‘Customer Service’ from @santanderuk and @VirginActiveUK. I feel for you, please contact their CEOs, look to see if you have any legal cover with insurance and contact Financial Ombudsman once you have the written info. Two companies I will never use. x

  • e_acheson Elizabeth Acheson (@e_acheson) reported

@MorganBroadcast What an awful set of events, so sorry you’ve had all this to deal with, without your phone, immediate access to home (w/o keys) and all your personal stuff. Absolute nightmare not helped by the cavalier attitude of @VirginActiveUK and @santanderuk #rubishcustomerjourney

  • BeIIe__CheIle CheIIe IsabeIla (@BeIIe__CheIle) reported

@MorganBroadcast That's really awful. Shame on @santanderuk. I hope the police carry out a full and thorough investigation.

  • PLindores Paula Lindores 💙 (@PLindores) reported

@MorganBroadcast So sorry to hear about this awful experience Charlotte & how amazing that so many people are responding with great advice. I really hope you get your money back soon & @santanderuk & @VirginActiveUK hang their corporate heads in shame.

  • Toby_J_Benjamin Toby Benjamin (@Toby_J_Benjamin) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk Shame on you @santanderuk - it’s time you treated your customer with some care and respect, rather than making her life more difficult when she’s been made a victim from no fault of her own.

  • JustGeekingBy Four days until #geekdis ♿ starts! (@JustGeekingBy) reported

@helengrantsays @santanderuk They do, but they also have a legitimate argument for negligence because she went in knowing the security was down. It's not right, but we all know that banks don't like paying out money if they can squirm their way out of it.

  • iverlean (((Fran Lewis))) Lady Lewis of Laffak (@iverlean) reported

@annettesjl @santanderuk @santanderuk You are seriously making me consider my options - I have been a customer a long time, but this really makes me want to move my account!
