Currently the line of sight in its current location hits the very centre / bulk of the tree. The location I suggested I think at worst would clip some lower branches. I think if mounted low enough it would not hit the tree at all.

My landline has also been down since early last week - I live with my 75-year-old mother and if I'm out that's her only method of contact
