@virginmedia how as a loyal customer, who has just renewed my contract why do I not get offered the Xbox deal? Why do you never look after existing customers?

  • Barnfather
Owen Barnfather (@Barnfather) reported from Westbury, England

Had terrible internet for a few weeks, call Virgin and they just brush you off and say ‘everything’s fine’. Impossible to get beyond their scripted messaging. @virginmedia

@virginmedia help! Have phone 150 (automated!). No local problem. Have done everything the automated response told us to do. Including the automated text message. Still no Internet through hub. No WiFi! We have TV. Now what? A human might be able to help!

  • leesto
Lee Stone (@leesto) reported from Bathford, England

I see @virginmedia are up to their usual tricks of hiding their service issues. Public status checker with postcode: It's all fine 🤔 Login with checker: There's a known fault in your area.

  • Yarrhful
captain chungus™ (@Yarrhful) reported from Melksham, England

@virginmedia are you having issues with business stuff in the Melksham area? Got nothing and your status page says all is good.

  • AdzCrawford2003
Adam Crawford (@AdzCrawford2003) reported from Bathford, England

@Socks8818 @virginmedia No. Just call quality is terrible. Data speeds are the same as o2

  • AdzCrawford2003
Adam Crawford (@AdzCrawford2003) reported from Bathford, England

@virginmedia Well it is not due to a mast issue as it is everywhere. Putting it simply, calling quality is crap

  • amooreict
Antony Moore (@amooreict) reported from Bathford, England

@BeefGolf @VirginAtlantic @virginmedia Took me 95 minutes on the phone on Friday to cancel ours.

  • JonHackett
Jon Hackett (@JonHackett) reported from Steeple Ashton, England

@virginmedia You have provided a totally inadequate service for my daughter & her house mates. As university students they need a reliable service in order for them to continue with their studies. When they called for help you agreed their speed wasn’t as promised....

  • BrookesPics
Mark Brookes (@BrookesPics) reported from Frome, England

@virginmedia the 0345 454 1111 number just doesn’t work / unavailable and the live chat has a waiting time of about 60 mins. How can a loyal long term customer talk to you ?

  • JonHackett
Jon Hackett (@JonHackett) reported from Steeple Ashton, England

@virginmedia .... continue.... So you are not fulfilling your obligation! To ask them to pay for boosters to rectify YOUR problem is not acceptable! Sort it out Virgin Media and don’t take advantage of students! Please show some empathy!

  • Tofrek
Jon Wort 🇺🇦 (@Tofrek) reported from Chippenham, England

@virginmedia Can’t access that link. Happy to revert to old fashioned courtesy and receive a telephone call. You have my telephone number on my complaint I logged with James earlier.

  • RolandMillward
Roland Millward (@RolandMillward) reported from Trowbridge, England

@virginmedia As you are aware OFCOM believe this practice is illegal. The fact people can’t move onto a new development and you’re not putting down cables is not their fault. It’s an inappropriate way to treat customers fairly.

  • Arankay_1
aran kay (@Arankay_1) reported from Bathford, England

@virginmedia I need to speak to someone at customer service but I can never get through, what is the number for customer services. Urgent matter

  • ChristoffLowe
Chris Lowe (@ChristoffLowe) reported from Bathford, England

@virginmedia I’ve had no broadband for nearly a week now! It’s not the first time and lost it for 4 days last time. The call centre is absolutely shocking! The worst customer experience I have ever had!

@robert_mackley @virginmedia Thanks for that. Need to do some serious thinking about whether to stay with @virginmedia at end of this contract as this experience has been very, very poor indeed. Communications have been awful (apart from one person that at least appeared to empathise). Been with them years

  • aidan_codtello
    Aidan Costello (@aidan_codtello) reported

@entrustTMF @virginmedia I've done a postcode check and it says intermittent problems. My daughter says if it doesn't improve she can go back to her flat as it isn't too far away. We are in London. We signed up for virgin party as they were to pay £50 incentive to use & my father for both of us signing

  • pepetideo
CrankyGeek (@pepetideo) reported from Oxford, England

You only know how sitty a service provider relly is when something goes wrong. Was with @virginmedia for over 5 years. Now that i decided to leave they have charged me for 2 months with me already with another provider. After complaining they take 2 months to refund you and now that i sent them their router they somehow misplaced it and charged me 40 quid saying i didnt send it (even thought i had a call last week where i gave them the receipt) If you are their customer.. Get out as soon as possible and remember to block the direct debits. They cannot be trusted with your money.

  • DanielKennett77
    Dan (@DanielKennett77) reported

@virginmedia 48 hours now with intermittent broadband. BR6 area. According to your useless website there are no issues in the area. I beg to differ.

  • DanAaronTaylor
    Daniel Taylor (@DanAaronTaylor) reported

@virginmedia VM/O2 account locked for security reasons. Spoke with someone on chat who requested it be unlocked within 5 days. This never happened. Called and asked again for my account to be unlocked. Again told this would be done. Hasn’t. Can this be escalated? I need access.

  • JonnyCave
    Jonny Cave (@JonnyCave) reported

@virginmedia You bill me for a paper bill £1.75 raised the issue feb 25th 2025 to which you promised a credit of £10 this never happened and have then continued to bill me on paper bill at £1.75 for 14 months, all chat logs have been kept, then tried to offer me £15 credit in total

However, this case is slightly different. 151.217.0.0/16 is a "bogon", which means the network is not assigned to anyone at this time (and so nobody should be using it). After the first announcement, new (presumably fake) carriers were inserted into the BGP path as a decoy. The general modus operandi suggests that this is the same gang in action
