Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Tilbury and nearby locations:

  • dicksielives David Ball (@dicksielives) reported from Romford, England

Hi @virginmedia I ordered a new phone via my wife (who is already on Virgin mobile) last Friday. I was told to wait for a confirmation email which I still have not received. Can you help? I have the order No.

  • LutherB40510976 Luther Blissett (@LutherB40510976) reported from London, England

@virginmedia can you give me a direct number to call to cancel my contract. I've used whataspp / webchat and spoken to two people in last 24 hours - but to no avail.

  • LutherB40510976 Luther Blissett (@LutherB40510976) reported from London, England

@virginmedia what is the number for your complaints department? It seems impossible to actually terminate my contract with you. Am I in the Hotel California?

  • blackheathma Amanda Birrell (@blackheathma) reported from London, England

@MartinSLewis It is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I’m now actively discouraging others to use Virgin Media. Cancelling is also very difficult and deliberately so

  • GoonerGrizzly grizzly_gooner (@GoonerGrizzly) reported from Thundersley, England

@virginmedia A number of times. But let’s be honest, they’re nothing but messengers. There is no escalation, and they can’t even call the construction company to escalate issues. As someone who has worked within many projects teams, and mapped business processes, yours is simply shocking

  • tlcko1882 Burnley Dave:Not woke just human.💙🌈🍺🇪🇺 (@tlcko1882) reported from London, England

@journokeith @virginmedia Good as in they acknowledged your existence was what I meant. That's how their "customer services" is set up, they don't have the staff based in the UK to deal with it and all they can do is what they are doing.

  • Scott_Wic Scott Wickham (@Scott_Wic) reported from Rochester, England

@virginmedia My request to support was about the hub5 and some Wi-Fi extenders/boosters which I’m entitled to, they said that it was sorted and would be in the post and now only the hub5 has turned up!!! Does this mean I have to contact support again…….

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@MayorofLondon Shame they provide the most terrible customer service and treat you like they've got you by the short and curlies! Pay £400 a year for a service, custome service agents are like robots and stuff you for days when it doesn't work with no alternative offered! @virginmedia

  • _Lewis_A Lewis Allen ⚒ (@_Lewis_A) reported from Romford, England

On phone to @virginmedia for 55 mins to cancel, speak to 4 different people about a mis-sold service and then when I ask them to produce my contract they hang up. Not happy.

  • BobCratchitt Andee Byford (@BobCratchitt) reported from Romford, England

@virginmedia Yes I have checked the service status, it is the first thing I do & all was fine. The issues is with the cable Ethernet & the phone connection in the Hub 4. I don’t use your WiFi setup as my house is fully cabled for networking. I am a Network Architect, so have done basic tests

  • GoonerGrizzly grizzly_gooner (@GoonerGrizzly) reported from Thundersley, England

@virginmedia This seems to be the standard message coming from Virgin Media. “Computer says no”. If you can’t see the issue with this then you (Virgin Media) are the problem. I’m inclined to contact the ombudsman as you have sold me a service which you blatantly cannot provide or install.

  • mikej2504 Michael Jones (@mikej2504) reported from Walderslade, England

@virginmedia offers social tariff of £12.50 for 15mb which is slow. Better option almost anyone with BT £12.50 for 36mb and Vodafone £12.50 for 38mb. Virgin also has £20 for 54mb but is higher price than most others offering same.

  • _Lewis_A Lewis Allen ⚒ (@_Lewis_A) reported from Romford, England

So @virginmedia want £288 to cancel a contract I've had since 2018. Can I get through to anyone to speak about it? NO!!

  • joybrenda Brenda (@joybrenda) reported from London, England

@virginmedia help why have you made it so difficult to log a landline vault on line. Need to call, as line out of order since friday. I am certain it's systems fault as display message I have seen on previous occasions.

  • RogerHighfield Roger Highfield (@RogerHighfield) reported from London, England

@virginmedia, your app does not seem to think there's a problem with the internet in area 21. I think different. Can you check?!

  • Biggsy58 Bernie Biggs (@Biggsy58) reported from Bexleyheath, England

@virginmedia putting their tariffs up by 17.3% from 1st April - that’s 3.9% over the Retail Price Index Inflation of 13.4%…people getting nowhere near this sort of increase in their pay packets…hang your heads in shame especially in a cost of living crisis.

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia No as I look after an elderly lady with parkinsons on Thursdays which means she doesn't get to get out of the house if I don't see her. So it's booked in for Friday. What help doninhave till then? Or reimbursement? I'm free every day after 3pm & I'm free Tuesday all day

  • RogerHighfield Roger Highfield (@RogerHighfield) reported from London, England

@virginmedia My broadband is down again - area21. Any idea of when it will be fixed?

  • LaurenLFlower charlie and Blossom (@LaurenLFlower) reported from Romford, England

@virginmedia Hi I have an issue with my current plan? It says I’ve cancelled my O2 benefits but I never received the sim nor did I cancel.

  • GoonerGrizzly grizzly_gooner (@GoonerGrizzly) reported from Thundersley, England

@virginmedia I have spoken to your CS team about raising a complaint and have been told that the complaints procedure is for existing customers. As I am yet to go live, I am not considered a customer and therefore have no where to go.

@virginmedia Hes, finalising the complaint as I type to you. I just kep being pushed from one service to next to another then to another. Spent 2 hours so far tonight over this simple thing to put right. Its bewildering.

@virginmedia I get a page that says "your email is not available please try again in an hour or call". I am a customer of yours for all except mobile phone.

  • susannahkeogh Susannah Keogh (@susannahkeogh) reported

@virginmedia Hi John, we have attempted to but told there was a problem. When we phoned we were told the CM-MAC number didn’t match the one on file, and that the relevant team weren’t available.

  • susannahkeogh Susannah Keogh (@susannahkeogh) reported

@virginmedia To call back tomorrow as said nothing they could do. We need to work from home and can’t leave to seek outside assistance due to having Covid. Is there anything you can do to help please? Seems like we might have been sent the wrong box?
