Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Orpington and nearby locations:

  • illymus Illy Mus 💙 (@illymus) reported from Camberwell, England

@virginmedia so you hike our prices up and then the Internet has been awful today. Left home at 6am, just got home and still the same issue. Our landline relies on Internet and so does my 83 year old mother who uses it. Remind me what I am paying for???

  • BobCratchitt Andee Byford (@BobCratchitt) reported from City of London, England

@virginmedia Well I guess as it went down Wednesday afternoon and if all goes well back up tomorrow we will automatically qualify.

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia No as I look after an elderly lady with parkinsons on Thursdays which means she doesn't get to get out of the house if I don't see her. So it's booked in for Friday. What help doninhave till then? Or reimbursement? I'm free every day after 3pm & I'm free Tuesday all day

  • blackheathma Amanda Birrell (@blackheathma) reported from London, England

@MartinSLewis It is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I’m now actively discouraging others to use Virgin Media. Cancelling is also very difficult and deliberately so

  • gorgeousuk anne hill (@gorgeousuk) reported from Bromley, England

My day off and I still cannot watch Amazon prime due to virgin media delivering a ****** service. I really think we need to switch providers now. Enough is enough.

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@MayorofLondon Shame they provide the most terrible customer service and treat you like they've got you by the short and curlies! Pay £400 a year for a service, custome service agents are like robots and stuff you for days when it doesn't work with no alternative offered! @virginmedia

  • gorgeousuk anne hill (@gorgeousuk) reported from Bromley, England

@virginmedia I did and it said the service was ok. It’s now working after several times of going onto Amazon. I just don’t know why the service has become so poor recently

  • gorgeousuk anne hill (@gorgeousuk) reported from Bromley, England

@virginmedia My husband has called because he is the account holder and has a Virgin phone. Virgin apparently will call tonight/tomorrow morning. However, my feeling now is that your service will work for a time and then will go bad, there is a pattern.

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia 11/ I've never been 6 days without internet and help was much more available in the past with virgin. Now, customers are being left high and dry.

  • LutherB40510976 Luther Blissett (@LutherB40510976) reported from London, England

@virginmedia what is the number for your complaints department? It seems impossible to actually terminate my contract with you. Am I in the Hotel California?

  • Biggsy58 Bernie Biggs (@Biggsy58) reported from Bexleyheath, England

@virginmedia putting their tariffs up by 17.3% from 1st April - that’s 3.9% over the Retail Price Index Inflation of 13.4%…people getting nowhere near this sort of increase in their pay packets…hang your heads in shame especially in a cost of living crisis.

  • RogerHighfield Roger Highfield (@RogerHighfield) reported from London, England

@virginmedia, your app does not seem to think there's a problem with the internet in area 21. I think different. Can you check?!

  • LutherB40510976 Luther Blissett (@LutherB40510976) reported from London, England

@virginmedia can you give me a direct number to call to cancel my contract. I've used whataspp / webchat and spoken to two people in last 24 hours - but to no avail.

  • tlcko1882 Burnley Dave:Not woke just human.💙🌈🍺🇪🇺 (@tlcko1882) reported from London, England

@journokeith @virginmedia Good as in they acknowledged your existence was what I meant. That's how their "customer services" is set up, they don't have the staff based in the UK to deal with it and all they can do is what they are doing.

  • AnnieCaird Annie Caird 🌻 (@AnnieCaird) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia How long have you got? I have just sat down in a restaurant to cry on a friend’s shoulder. The nice server said, “how are you?” I just burst into tears! Seriously. My disappointment is palpable. I want to go back to @BT

  • BobCratchitt Andee Byford (@BobCratchitt) reported from Poplar, England

@virginmedia But your hub has died and as such I cannot access my broadband, use my landline as you moved it from copper to Ethernet and the TV services are impacted as I cannot record, watch the BBC or any streaming service. In short an outage.

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia 8/ have to pay if it came down to a third party router intimating that the fault was mine. No appointment till Thursday! I tried to explain that I care for an elderly lady and he wouldn't let me speak and kept interrupting me which was incredibly rude. I advised him to let me

  • RogerHighfield Roger Highfield (@RogerHighfield) reported from London, England

@virginmedia My broadband is down again - area21. Any idea of when it will be fixed?

  • discobabe76 DragonFish 🇬🇧🇪🇺🇮🇹 (@discobabe76) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia 9/ speak but he kept interrupting me. He had no help for me for having no internet for 6 days. He kept sighing and refused to put me through to anyone who could offer anymore help.

  • nathantalbot Nathan Talbot (@nathantalbot) reported from City of London, England

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • maccbird Loretta McIntosh (@maccbird) reported

@Driksy4 @YahooNewsUK I’ve never had an issue with BT in the 4 years since ditching @virginmedia. Far better Wi-Fi, never lost connection, no issues & absolutely superior compared to VM

  • MattUnitedFC Matt (@MattUnitedFC) reported

@virginmedia Surely you know if you’ve fixed the problems. It isn’t a localised issue.

  • ayo_its_jack Jack (@ayo_its_jack) reported

@virginmedia god damn it! Down again! Hike up prices on Monday, and then two days of down internet. Are customers going to get some money back? #virginmedia

  • chipk0 chipko (@chipk0) reported

@virginmedia Its the same. I appreciate your help but i don't want you wasting your time on this. I will call the telephone support later

  • EmilyKrumlinde 🌸 Lifeweaver one trick QueenE 👑 (@EmilyKrumlinde) reported

@benmalka @virginmedia it's funny how VM always seem to have a lot of issues, used to be with VM a few years ago too and stuff like this was common, went to BT and while they are lower speeds i think there was ONE outage for 3 years (and it lasted for like 2 hours)

  • timc2602 Tim (@timc2602) reported

@virginmedia We’ve done that 11 times so far in the last 2 days. Your team yesterday insisted that there was no general issue. We’ve (allegedly) got an Engineer booked for Friday. Frankly, we rue the day we ever joined Virgin Media and can’t wait to leave.

  • shawleynott Shawnacho & Licha 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇦🇷 (@shawleynott) reported

@CroondogTV @virginmedia Nah it ain’t okay it’s slow as hell

  • maxsaint71 massimo santoro (@maxsaint71) reported

@virginmedia home internet service is still down after 24 hours and I can only book a technician appointment for Monday! That would mean 6 days without internet… how am I supposed to work??? #virginmediadown

  • deveritt_uk D Everitt (@deveritt_uk) reported

@guyrleech @virginmedia @vmbusiness Arrr part of the package deal then :), that's not too bad then!

  • guyrleech Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported

@deveritt_uk @virginmedia @vmbusiness Yes, the 4G backup, which has never worked in an outage, is an optional extra to the base business broadband package that gives a USB dongle that takes a SIM card they ship. Like marriage, it seemed a good idea at the time
