Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Orpington, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Orpington and nearby locations:

  • philipwallingon The Wing Commander (@philipwallingon) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@virginmedia Eventually. I had to ask to talk to customer disconnections before I got a satisfactory response. Technician will call on Wednesday which in fairness is probably as quick a box in the post but with the benefit of a human touch.

  • silverback1809 Shane Pender (@silverback1809) reported from Bromley, England

@virginmedia @virginhelp my other half has had 2 phone calls this morning saying our internet/router will be going down in 4hrs as we need a new box or router? Is this genuine? Also any chance some1 will come back to link us up to our own connection and not next doors?

  • ReneeDoegar Renee Doegar (Cohn) (@ReneeDoegar) reported from Lambeth, England

@niamhskinner @virginmedia Unfortunately it’s still out in SW2 for me. The time they are suggesting a fix keeps getting later and later. I have no idea how big of an issue it is, but it’s taking a rather long time to repair!

  • ianeastlondon IanEastLondon (@ianeastlondon) reported from Poplar, England

@virginmedia It was to try and fix my router / modem issues. I didn’t arrange it, the person I spoke to not the phone (the fifth person) said she had arranged it.

  • ReneeDoegar Renee Doegar (Cohn) (@ReneeDoegar) reported from Lambeth, England

@virginmedia Yes there’s been an issue logged in SW2 since yesterday morning at 11. Any idea how serious an issue it is?

  • howedali VanHowe (@howedali) reported from Lambeth, England

I am trying working from home however there is no internet service in SW9 0RH from yesterday morning, that’s a shame @virginmedia @Virgin !!!!

  • chinaheart7 Karen Louise 💙💞🌈🙏 (@chinaheart7) reported from Dartford, England

@Matthew_Wright @virginmedia Go to BT. Never had any BS from them.

  • silverback1809 Shane Pender (@silverback1809) reported from Bromley, England

@virginmedia Oh good just thought it was a strange one as I’m pretty sure you’d email/text that kind of information. Any news on the other issue mentioned?

  • t1m1964 tim (@t1m1964) reported from Camberwell, England

@virginmedia I need to be able to speak to someone in the uk about an elder vulnerable person who is without service. please advise.

  • ianeastlondon IanEastLondon (@ianeastlondon) reported from Poplar, England

@virginmedia Sometimes. But that’s not the issue. It behaves the same if not connected to VPN.

  • musofunk Shane Patrick Cullinan (@musofunk) reported from Lambeth, England

. @virginmedia you need an honest statement about the situation in South London now. For lonely elderly people to lose TV for 2 DAYS is isolating & cruel when it’s possibly the only company they have. Do better. Communicate. Be honest. Get a resolution. #virginmedia #London

  • tufnelljimmy James Anderson 🏛 (@tufnelljimmy) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia I’m afraid your service status is wrong. There is a problem and my broadband speed is a fraction of what I pay for.

  • t1m1964 tim (@t1m1964) reported from Camberwell, England

@virginmedia Certainly, but I would prefer not to in open messages for obvious reasons. Suffice to say, old, ill, no service, cancelled appointment by text.

  • alij_price Alison Price (@alij_price) reported from Bromley, England

Die to have @virginmedia installed 13/3 they turned up today for outside works and found a blockage so another permit needed before the work can go ahead! Customer service useless!!!

  • camjwall Cameron (@camjwall) reported from Lambeth, England

@virginmedia No, unsurprisingly almost 48 hours later the issue is resolved. Would have been nice to receive some communication. Can you provide details on compensation arrangements.

  • devanHD devanHD (@devanHD) reported from Lambeth, England

**** #virginmedia No Broadband, No Tv and No Landline #SW2. Been an hour already, sort yr **** out or lose another 200,000 customers this quarter! Up To You!

  • AdiStaempfli Adi Staempfli (@AdiStaempfli) reported from London, England

I understand it takes time to replace fibre optics. I don‘t understand why @virginmedia sends out messages that are plain wrong. My connection is not working, has not been working ever since Tuesday evening. Is this to avoid having to pay back customers?

  • KBHeadteacher Keith Barr (@KBHeadteacher) reported from London, England

@virginmedia any chance of connectivity @KenderSchool ... ? Any help would be welcomed, please...

  • ReneeDoegar Renee Doegar (Cohn) (@ReneeDoegar) reported from Lambeth, England

@virginmedia wifi down in Brixton (SW2). It says you’re not getting it fixed until tomorrow?! Any chance it will be done sooner than this? It’s a pretty vital resource for many of us right now!

  • AngusTeee Angus Teee (@AngusTeee) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia Please can you explain why broadband has gone down in the London N1 area and what you are doing to remedy this? I have an urgent deadline to hit and currently have no internet access ...

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • olti138 Oltjon Hako (@olti138) reported

@virginmedia Typical Virgin just fob it off on someone else, your response is typical of my ordeal with your company just keep sending it to someone else instead of taking ownership escalating it to a manager and giving the rite customer service. Honestly you hold 0 value for your customers.

  • ClemMorfuni PCM 🔴⚫️⚪️⚫️ (@ClemMorfuni) reported

@virginmedia Quite frankly, your broadband services are a joke. Forever experiencing outages & clueless, dreadful call centre customer services operatives that are unable to assist. Avoid Virgin Media like COVID.

  • Maiiqy_ Maiiqy (@Maiiqy_) reported

It would be nice is @virginmedia would actually fix the up and down latency. Use to be a good ISP but not anymore.

  • CertifiedProIT Mohammed Chaudhry (@CertifiedProIT) reported

@virginmedia can you not simply escalate the issue? i don't have time to run through these tests again! i just want the problem dealt with asap.

  • JackSheaFFC JackShea (@JackSheaFFC) reported

@virginmedia ‘Once you’ve reported the issue to us and service has been fully restored, any credit owed will be automatically calculated and applied to your bill’ How long does applying the credit typically take?

  • treborddot rob todd (@treborddot) reported

@virginmedia Yup been through this and I’ve asked you send me a new router and another cable supplied with 3 mtrs cable with ends I will fix it myself !! Not impressed at all so far after being accused of not paying and been in credit and no apologise and I want compensation as well

  • agouldsbrough Antony Gouldsbrough (@agouldsbrough) reported

@virginmedia It's not disconnection, it's billing. Yes they got back to me but it's slow going. It's near impossible resolving anything with your customer service team in less than about 3 hours. Security took an hour today. I'm not confident this will resolve this week.

  • olti138 Oltjon Hako (@olti138) reported

@virginmedia Is anyone ever going to fix this issue or should I just sign up to one of your competitors! I have been using hotspot for work for 6 weeks!

  • CoopsNicki123 nicki coops (@CoopsNicki123) reported

@virginmedia No return package received but lots of texts up to 3 a day for 2 weeks yet you never come as stated , turn up when I'm out , never mind the money you owe me ! I'm already going through ombudsman this will play part now of complaint too.

  • DWoolford58 David Woolford (@DWoolford58) reported

@virginmedia I switched mobile provider and passed on my PAC number to the new provider. Yesterday it went through and I am connecting to the new network. Do I need to contact @virginmedia or does the new provider notify you?
