@virginmedia To be fair, the TV is better via Virgin and download speeds are good too (most of the time) but you fall down on broadband reliability, upload speeds and landlines costs.

After 10 years with @virginmedia , & after weeks of terrible WiFi & customer service, I asked they equal BT’s deal. Operator could not do that and would not let me talk to manager, nor send a message for call back. I asked x3. Operator terminated call. Poor service!

-
Paul Wingfield BSc CEng MIET (@pwingers) reported from Sutton at Hone, England
@virginmedia Yes I have but the download speed is fine. The problem is that you peg the upload speeds down to 10mbs. We used to get that over copper cables. It's time to step it up a notch.
-
Ynot? (@Tonyippee) reported from Croydon, England
Once again @virginmedia has let me down! Sorry the stream ended so suddenly without any goodbyes 😭
-

.@virginmedia “we’re really sorry you’ve been having issues since 21st but rest assured we will resolve this by 1st of Dec” On the same exact call that gave a 10 day resolution time @virginmedia: “looks like your contract has ended. Let’s talk through your upgrade options”

@virginmedia absolutely sick of the lack of service over the weekend- trying to watch catch up and it constantly crashes, then doesn’t remember where I was actually up to. This isn’t good enough. What is going on? If it’s not sorted asap I’m off to @skytv
-
david (@kentsoc) reported from Biggin Hill, England
@virginmedia I keep getting this message when I try and sign into my Virgin Media Account…. “This service can only be accessed by the primary account holder”. I am the primary account holder.
-
Paul Wingfield BSc CEng MIET (@pwingers) reported from Sutton at Hone, England
@virginmedia 100mbs download is fine, but 10mbs upload is silly in this age. It's too slow for uploading to YouTube.
-
Callum McGuire (@callum1444) reported from Eltham, England

-
Looney (@LonesomeJay) reported from Dartford, England
@virginmedia, when I call to terminate, and I'm informed that I could have been paying 26 quid a month less for the same package, the knowledge that my current rate is a con makes me less likely to stay
-
Sevki 💉 💉🎉 (@sevki) reported from Camden Town, England
@virginmedia I’m not hopeful. You have given a 10day lead time for a fix. It’s been 6 days and my connection is still unusable. I just had to switch to 5g again. I genuinely don’t get what could possibly cause a 10 day lead time. 10 days without internet when I still have to wfh

Kimberley Grange (@Kim_Grange) reported
@virginmedia I understand *what* the bill is, I don't understand *WHY* you need me to pay in advance for a service that has been used for years. The cable outside doesn't work. Internet slow and intermittent. Multiple channels missing inc. ch4. We complained and complained. Nothing done.
-
Toxelola BOOwu 👻 🏳️🌈 (@toxelola) reported
Turns out it's a really good thing I didn't stream today, as Virgin Media's down in my area.
-
Paul Lomax (@PaulLomax) reported
@chrismsutcliffe @virginmedia If I can't get them to let me self-install, then I'm going to need a temp solution to be able to work next week (eg channel-bonded LTE 4G router...). At which point I'm free to wait for an engineer from an alternative provider! Which would be cheaper too. But I'd rather stay...

@virginmedia Are you planning on informing people formally about the issue? Can I rollback my software to the previous version whilst the fix is being found? (Since this was an optional ‘upgrade’) Are you making future people aware before taking the decision to upgrade? What is the timeline?

@virginmedia How is a £35 activation fee justified when I am already a customer with virgin media and I would be the one installing the new super hub myself plus you litteraly do t have to do anything other than push a button when the button os installed
