We have internet, thank you to the engineers who fixes it but @virginmedia need to take a long hard look at how they managed this, poor poor communication , o-one monitoring SM over the weekend, a classic lesson in failing in crisis management and customer care

@MariaMCasey @virginmedia That's a very ambiguous sentence. Not clear whether they'll only pay for working days, whether they'll pay for all days but only after 2 working days, whether the time starts from registering or whether it started from when the service went out.

If they had a fibre cable broken is not my fault, they should have a quick response for this kind of fault, a workaround, but no, they just keep pushing the date forward without any notice...

So now two full days of no internet or Tv. Seems some muppet put a digger through the fibre to local hub. It’s amazing how much we’ve come to rely on it for al sorts of things. Banking probably being the most useful. Anyway crack on & fix it @virginmedia I’ve got bills to pay.

I know as I manage our Virgin Media BUSINESS service for my employers. If I don’t get compensation for the whole period of the outage I’m off. £128.50 pm + £33 pm mobile. 👋

@virginmedia your site states the issue will be fixed by 1600hrs today Friday and they laughed apparently it will take them days to install new cables and make the intricate connections to each fibre optic strand. They said they were likely to have it all working again on Monday

@harryhpalmer @virginmedia @IggyPop We’re watching through iPlayer and casting onto TV. Pain when it buffers though. @virginmedia better get their act together tomorrow as it says on the website we’ve had service since 5pm today and nothing is working.

@virginmedia Yes I contacted the contact center but there is no option provided to fast track the resolution. I don't understand why it has to take 14 days with overall elapsed time of 4 weeks of post joining virgin.. Please urgently help. This is not acceptable😠

@virginmedia So i ordered a sim only, ive called a few times to get something sorted. You then sent it to a debt recovery company and they took my side and you had to sort that out, then ombudsman said that you should cancel it or send me compensation. Now its on my file again. Sort it out

@virginmedia Was done wireless: I know ideal test if on wired but I have never experienced such low speed on a wireless test. Consistency has always been an issue. This is way below the minimum guaranteed speed

@virginmedia yesterday VM was working outside my house. Since then my TV(2 box’s ) and BB(Hub3) have all stopped working. No body seems to want to accept the engineer broke something. I was told 3 new boxes would be sent when clearly the problem is something the engineer did!
