@virginmedia Chat session indicates there is still a fault, with an estimated fix of the 26th. So basically I can expect very poor broadband for over a week.

@virginmedia I've already tried calling. The agent wouldn't accept what I was saying and basically called me a liar so I tweeted you & you advised me to file a complaint on the website to which I've received no response at all. I feel my only chance of a result is to take it to CISAS.

As well as the hub randomly disconnecting from various home control devices; Alexa, Sonos, Dyson… the @virginmedia TiVo Box now seems incapable of playing BBC iPlayer! This service, despite having the most up to date equipment and checking every setting & connection is rubbish.

@virginmedia Thanks you for this. I’m at work 12hrs today so won’t be calling. Very disappointed over the past 2yrs of issues. I’ve called customer services multiple times and made two complaints previously. Still not resolved so will be switching.

Starting to have all the same Connectivity problems with @virginmedia as before even now we have their “best” hub. Fed up of having connectivity issues with our supposedly connected home. One minute it works, the next it stops for no reason. All settings checked and correct.

@virginmedia Bedroom installation contracted weeks ago for ill person. Didnt happen. Scant, apathetic apology, told new date might now be few weeks. Was held up collection from hosp awaiting techs that never came. We've no clue what's happening when, nor the effort to keep trying for it.

@virginmedia Yes it was a much wider problem. Resolved a few hours later. My point was why not use social media to update people. It’s fast, simple and reaches so many people easily.

@virginmedia Is this a joke? You can see from my previous chats I have spent hours and hours on the phone to Virgin, which is why I've gone to Twitter. And you insist I waste time on the phone again to get an update on a complaint that has been overlooked for 8 wks? Awful customer service

Elizabeth Morrison

@virginmedia It's the wired connection, keeps going down, I've reset the router multiple times, to no avail. It's been fluctuating all week, but yesterday was the worst. All the connection wires are fine.

(@brightsitedes) reported
@virginmedia Hi. Thanks for the reply. The majority of devices are Wireless. Only one device, used occasionally, is wired. A speed test won't really tell us anything as the issue comes and goes which suggests a bottleneck. That's why I was enquiring about the Hub 4 as it can bond 32 channels
-
Mick
(@CurfTheRed) reported
@virginmedia I think it could be the broadband dropping causing the router to fail when it happens I check the status from my area and it never shows faults.
-
Bertie de Margary

@virginmedia I have the 200M fibre package, and my internet is consistently too slow for video calling, and often cuts out altogether. ontop of that my bill has increased to £89 which I did not agree to. Can someone speak to me about this?
-
Siddhartha Ghose
(@siddharthaghose) reported
@virginmedia Please spare the sympathy. You do not have any idea whatsoever just how immensely frustrating it is to be on hold on the phone for hours in the middle of work and zoom calls to resolve a problem that is entirely your creation. This is for #broadband at home.
-
Andy | Brighton Website Design
(@brightsitedes) reported
@virginmedia Wired was 100Mbps down Mobile next to router 5.8Mbps Mac upstairs wireless 17Mbps I noticed on a test that Wireless devices were connected using 2.4Ghz (although I believe I had set this to dual), allowing the device to connect to 5Ghz if available
