A debt collector for a utility Co knocked at his door. Atm the hospital rang to say we had to go down ( SIL later died) the debt guy said not to worry & offered a lift!

Look at the feedback. People are enraged by this kind of thing and it's entirely solvable at your end. Get somebody senior at VM involved. If you fix the system - you ensure my mum doesn't get more emails from you. But when you say 'to ensure everything is correct' - it clearly isn't.
