    @AyoCaesar Problem is that Sky have no control over it, because its actually owned by Openreach. They own the lines for all providers, apart from obviously Virgin Media.

    Given how badly BT’s share price has fared over the last few years, this might not be too unrealistic. There doesn’t seem to be much money in fixed telecoms at the moment. We@could have a Network Rail of broadband. Except there is also the Virgin Media fibre network.

    @virginmedia Well I am not being patient and will be taking my custom elsewhere. This is your issue outside of my house and I am not getting the service I am paying for so will look elsewhere for someone who can provide a proper service!

    Hi @virginmedia . Since 5pm I've probably had a total of 3min of working internet in the flat - where I work. Full time. I'm aware there's an ongoing problem in the area (N19 5HY) but the fact is I have lost hours of work over this and I'm not happy. Awaiting your reply. Thanks

    So @virginmedia have refused to get an engineer to me today to fix their problem outside my house, which has cut out my internet and TV services. I have not got many followers but if anyone can retweet this example of disgraceful service I would be grateful.

    Labour plan involves spending £20bn on rolling out a full fibre broadband network to all by 2020 - then providing free service to every home and business. But not clear where that leaves Virgin Media, TalkTalk etc

    @EvilAbsolute @shazwalter @virginmedia I would argue that the service doesn't work. It's only as good as the weakest link in the chain, which is the hub. I don't really want another box in my house to fix an issue that is fixable by the service provider. We have BT fibre in the street which is what I'll investigate.

    @virginmedia Nope was assured I would be contacted within half an hour I was contacted about contract coming to an end and explained still having issues despite 2 engineer visits and a replacement hub so would not be staying and how annoyed I was and was assured it would be sorted today!

    @afcwomblelong @virginmedia I personally think that they slow down the speeds forcing you to sign up to their fastest deal. Our Virgin Wi-Fi and phones have all slowed up, we’re moving forward with another provider as soon as possible.

    @colinevo @virginmedia Oh I’ll look into trying to get out of it , customer service is really bad my internet is off more than it’s on need an upgrade on my router getting nowhere and stopped trying to ring , sure there’s plenty of other companies want my business

    @virginmedia when I try to change my package online (or just look at options) I get "Sorry, we’re unable to change your package online." Is there a way to fix this pls as it's never worked but would save me phoning/waiting all the time.

    @colinevo @virginmedia My experience too. They just pass you around in the hope you give up. I got my money in the end but it was by some distance the worst customer service I've experienced.
