The service from @virginmedia is utterly dreadful. Had Wi-Fi issues so they sent someone out to rectify. Worked for 2 days then the same issues started again. Not had working Wi-Fi for the last 3 weeks. If your thinking of going with them for tv / internet, go with someone else.

@_Lewis_A @virginmedia I had this problem and was advised to buy new cables, did that and it gets minimum 200mb now, also make sure all cables are really tight and fitted properly.

@virginmedia oh and further to my last tweet quite a few of us in the block have had enough now so don't be surprised if we leave and go to someone where we do actually get a service and probably for less money

  • MrCADwiz
Everest, Sam (@MrCADwiz) reported from Bromley, England

@virginmedia sort out your pissing Internet. The status checker says there's no problem but it's going on and off constantly. Resulting in me missing the England rugby. Why are we paying for **** that doesn't work

  • declan1968

@virginmedia Oh yeah. Nothing that explains why it keeps happening though. Fix dates are usually meaningless. Feels like we're being rationed.

  • catt_hurman

@virginmedia Hi @virginmedia guess what? I still have no wifi. Our 8th engineer visit scheduled for today (this time rescheduled because they needed a permit for the work). Just had a text saying engineer will be here next Tuesday now. Livid does not cut it. What kind of service is this?!

Love tech like this WAS-110 XGS-PON SFP is a a module that allows you to bypass most USA/CA routers (AT&T's BGW320, Virgin Media's Hub 5X, or Bell's Giga Hub) by copying info from your router to this module and insert into a third party router or media convert from SFP to Ethernet to a router Get better stability, performance, and stronger QoS settings / firewall etc compared to the default setup I hope 1 day i find someone that needs this done

  • CorkinDawn
    dawnieC (@CorkinDawn) reported

@virginmedia I already said i did status check which is estimating 5.08pm fix. My point was text says should be fixed shortly. I dont consider 9hours being shortly. Why does this happen more often now? You are no longer reliable any more 🙁

  • LisaRacheal
    Lisa (@LisaRacheal) reported

Worst company ever @virginmedia They say the same thing over and over again instead of just sending an engineer to actually fix it. I don’t work for you, you take my money so provide the service

  • AntimagicBones
    Anthaily (@AntimagicBones) reported

"Hey, the wi-fi is down?" "Uhhh... oh, yeah; Sara said something about turning our Virgin Media into problematic media." "Oh, God."

@virginmedia WORST Internet Provider iv ever had! Internet breaks takes nearly 2 weeks to fix it and within a week it broke again! And all you get back from customer care is no understanding and promises it will be fixed soon! Absolute joke of a company L

  • ScouseBouncy
Scouse House Bouncy Music (@ScouseBouncy) reported

@virginmedia Not my account so I can speak you about it. What happens though is, you start a stream and then it corrupts, goes to a black screen and goes to a “Error code: COMPO” then closes. This is not network related, it’s not a box issue. It is an issue with authentication

  • bahallathegreat
    Emily Atkins (@bahallathegreat) reported

@virginmedia It was taken up by a carpet fitter and never relayed it so angry at that and I never had anyone to look to see if everything was running ok

  • ravipal1214
    Ravi Pal (@ravipal1214) reported

@virginmedia customer. Activated 24 July on Gig1. Nine days in: WiFi works in one floor of my house, upload is 40% below spec on router, I’ve been told I cannot order the equipment needed to fix it. 90 minutes on chat today produced a £5 offer and a suggestion that I cancel. Detail below. 🧵
