Chris Davies (@bigchristweets) reported from Gorseinon, Wales@virginmedia I'm aware of the line you're taking to defend the 11% increase but the point is that your service is rubbish as demonstrated by the third image. We have to chuck £200 to Google to get a hub that works. I presume you're not getting an 11% pay rise this year. I know I'm not.

𝗗𝗲𝘅 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱 (@Dex_Fitz) reported from Skewen, Wales@virginmedia No they have not. If they had done what they’ve advised they’d done, the complaint should be linked to my account? Surely?
-
G (@therealGDJ) reported from Pontarddulais, Wales@virginmedia abysmal service. I’ve spent almost 2 weeks trying to get through to speak to someone about the price increase you’re looking to force on me, despite that I’m meant to benefit from #MatesRates for life. Please pick up the phone!!!

Jackson (@Jackson_SCFC) reported from Swansea, Wales@virginmedia 200 down from what I can remember, I'm at work right now so I can't check but the speed isn't the issue. Also, I said "should" because based on his test, it's an above average connection, but in practice, it's wildly inconsistent in terms of ping, packet loss/timing.
-
Jackson (@Jackson_SCFC) reported from Swansea, Wales@virginmedia No, I've gone down this route before, just look in to your routing servers and or the bandwidth limit. Any time I do anything remotely intensive all packets start getting dropped. I'm on my knees.

Gary Adams (@GazzaAdams) reported@virginmedia I need this escalated as a formal complaint regarding fault **F012421201**, because the information Virgin Media is providing has now become demonstrably contradictory. At **08:01 today, 20 August**, Virgin Media told me: “Our engineer is on site and they're working to fix the problem.” The estimated repair time given was **18:00 today**. At **15:27 today**, after I have had intermittent service for most of the day and had to hotspot from my phone to be able to work, Virgin Media has now told me: “We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.” The estimated repair time has also been moved to **14:10 tomorrow, 21 August**. These statements cannot both accurately describe the progress of the same fault. An engineer who was already **on site and working on the problem at 08:01** cannot subsequently be **“on their way” at 15:27** without some explanation. I fully understand that a complex network fault may take longer to repair than initially anticipated, and that estimated restoration times can change. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that Virgin Media is repeatedly providing contradictory factual information about the status of the repair, while I remain without the service I am paying for. I consequently have no confidence in the estimated restoration times being provided. Please therefore: 1. **Log this as a formal complaint and provide me with the complaint reference.** 2. Confirm the actual current status of fault **F012421201**, rather than repeating the automated status information. 3. Explain how an engineer could be reported as on site and working at 08:01 but “on their way” at 15:27. 4. Confirm when the outage affecting my service officially began and that the full period of loss of service has been recorded against my account. 5. Confirm what automatic compensation I will be entitled to for the complete loss of service, where applicable. I have retained screenshots of the outage updates and their timestamps. Please respond to the specific points above rather than sending me another automated repair estimate.

Paul R Jackson (@PaulJack662016) reported@APTSArchive @virginmedia Awful to hear - these big companies are terrible at customer relations. Hope the move goes better then dealing with Virgin Media.
-
johngunn (@johngunn2) reported@virginmedia @CliveR39 The last time I checked a couple of days ago it gave an estimated fix of 28th August. Which considering it’s been at least a week since it went down is a considerable length of time to not receive the service we’re paying for.
