  • theremaybebugs Annie Jenkins (@theremaybebugs) reported from Richmond, England

@bt_uk ‘upgraded’ to your new WIFI package with #disc. #HELP Can’t get disc to work. Flashing red light wherever in the house we put it. Why no online chat service attached to your #MYBT APP. Frankly, not inclined to phone & wait for hours for verbal help!

  • mwarn73 Martin Warner (@mwarn73) reported from Paddington, England

48 minutes to not be able to solve a problem. I know I’m not the only one that has this challenge with @bt_uk it is baffling how hard they make customer service... #antiquatedsystems #bt

  • _Oak01 Oak 🌳 (@_Oak01) reported from Paddington, England

@bt_uk The internet is down, not the whole internet mind you, just my connection to it. I suspect the SKYFIRE to be involved.

  • noels_c Noeleen Cohen (@noels_c) reported from Barnet, England

@bt_uk why is your btinternet service so awful. Trying to set up yahoo(so yesterday) on my iPhone and hassle after hassle. Time to say farewell to you. #byebyebt

  • y2theo Theo Georghiades (@y2theo) reported from Barnet, England

  • c2chiropractic c2chiropractic (@c2chiropractic) reported from Merton, England

@bt_uk you’re the worst! Over 6 months to instal a line and then without warning you cancel the line as you didn’t set up the DD properly. 🤬

  • mwarn73 Martin Warner (@mwarn73) reported from Paddington, England

I really dislike @bt_uk it has to be one of the worst customer service experiences out there. It takes so long to just get your call answered. The classic case of a company that’s so big, no one knows what they’re doing 😔

  • willperryTV Will Perry (@willperryTV) reported from Ealing, England

None of the Ultimate Boxxers have let us down yet. Guarantee this is going to go off as well! #ultimateboxxer @btsport @boxnationtv

  • sikaye_oxf Simon Kaye (@sikaye_oxf) reported from London Colney, England

@bt_uk Hi. When it drops it goes red to green to blue. It looks like the speed is slowly handshaking its way down to zero. Every drop restarts and lowers the speed

  • RobLondon R Barker (@RobLondon) reported from Wandsworth, England

@bt_uk Thx but still no real info. All day now and no indication of when the ‘issue’ will be sorted.

  • crazyaimz4 Amy Withnall (@crazyaimz4) reported from Richmond, England

  • mishmash100 Michelle Casey (@mishmash100) reported from Wandsworth, England

@bt_uk called to discuss my overpriced broadband deal and poor connectivity on Thursday. Spoke to Jake who promised me a call back at 11am on Friday. 4 days later.. Nothing

  • gerryjmurray Gerry Murray (@gerryjmurray) reported from Beaconsfield, England

@bt_uk No - your website said there’s a fault that needs an engineer. Your support person wouldn’t book it unless I agreed to pay £85 for a call out to fix your broadband which is at 1/5th the speed it should be. I refused and have ordered sky and will be cancelling BT this evening

  • RobLondon R Barker (@RobLondon) reported from Wandsworth, England

Hey @bt_uk when are you going to get the country-wide broadband problem sorted. Your phone line provides zero info.

  • BaizhouCai Baizhou Cai FRSA (@BaizhouCai) reported from Barnet, England

So I called @bt_uk noon today asked about cancellation of my contract, i was told i can do it anytime, i started a contact with @Hyperoptic and called bt to cancel, i was then told to pay a £200+ fine!! I was never told that in the first phonecall!! #liedtobybt #btlies

  • mwarn73 Martin Warner (@mwarn73) reported from Paddington, England

@bt_uk Thanks for reaching out Jordan, but to be honest, after 196 mins on the phone across 2 calls, I’m kind of done. BT is always super busy, it never changes, but they have assured me now that it will be fixed by midnight... which they assured me yesterday too... 🙄

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • jlancaster1862 Jay Lancaster (@jlancaster1862) reported

@bt_uk Utter ridiculous service. Charged £369 in error on 23/7. I called on the same day and was told it would be refunded in 7 days. It was not. Rang again on 2/8. I was told it would refunded by today. It was not. I rang again today and the same 7 day false promise. TERRIBLE!

  • jdmmi_ JD (@jdmmi_) reported

@bt_uk I hope you have a bad day

  • jaisullivan Jai Sullivan (@jaisullivan) reported

@bt_uk Hi Alannah OK - thanks for the quick response. Why doesn't it say this in any of your email comms so that people can prepare? It just says 'there might be a short break in service'. My definition of short isn't hours or most of the day?

  • TheBunet46 John M.Burnet (@TheBunet46) reported

@BTCare who's the idiot that came up with slogan for films, 'buy or own'? do u mean rent or own??

  • cuan_knaggs Cuan Knaggs (@cuan_knaggs) reported

@robdykedotcom @bt_uk have to deal with this **** on my banking app. that they have forced me to use by having it as the only option for 2FA

  • markjam Mark (@markjam) reported

Ok @btsport how do you cancel? My dad had it for champions league and doesn't want it now. Phoned but told to do it online. Tried online but its impossible to find how. FAQs say you need to phone. So how? #btsport #cancelbtsport #btsportripoff

  • btbusinesscare BT Business Care (@btbusinesscare) reported

@ionareads @bt_uk Hi, I apologise about this. One of our tech complaint team members in Dundee will be calling your family member about this. They have opened a complaint to see this through and get them sorted out, I apologise for all this.

  • keybo83 Keyan Milanian (@keybo83) reported

@bt_uk WiFi. Flashing orange. Please see previous tweets. Had months of this and two engineer visits, still getting problems. Had a pm from your colleague saying I'm not entitled to compensation cos I've not had a 'total loss of service'. So what exactly is this we've had, if not that?

  • SelectSystemsUK Charles Pearmain (@SelectSystemsUK) reported

It is depressingly inevitable that @bt_uk happily trot out banalities about "Connecting for Good" and being "Here to help" when they'd actually rather do anything to avoid talking to a customer. If you DO get through the simplest product information is treated as a state secret.

  • ionareads Iona (@ionareads) reported

I’ve said I would tweet you because they have no way to contact the person who called them and are so frustrated they don’t know what to do. When will you stop assuming that everyone lives in a city and start making an effort to provide support for rural customers? @bt_uk 3/4
