BT person on phone says I have to call my bank to put a bar on the DD they set up. How does a company with service this bad have any customers?

Its quite a realistic call with strict tone that u feel u should follow instructions. Did 1471 and number that called me was 01816792513. Clearly scam that's an old London area code

So after taking a day off work last week(self employed) for an engineer, there was a no show. Rebooked again for today & guess what. Another no show. Case manager supposed to ring back. The estimated fix date goes up weekly. Ideas?

I first ordered disconnection on 29th May but BT has no record of it. Anyway .. Today my mum was passed between 5 people, blaming either billing or a copper wire switch. No fix, no warning, despite paying hundreds each month. Awful service.
