No compensation offered and I would have to pay a penalty to cancel my contract.

Mark Connolly (@macon1375) reported from Crayford, England@virginmedia They advise they would send a signal to router, I then turn off after 5 mins, for 10 mins and when back on all will be working! Well it didnโt make a difference and my speed test shows my downloads dropped from 236mbs to 36. The issue is uploads tho at 0.5mbps. On hold again!

Mine doubled to nearly ยฃ80 a month literally just for 500gb fibre, no phone line or TV package. Don't take first answer. It took me 3 or 4 calls to knock it back down to ยฃ40 odd a month
