Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Edmonton, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Edmonton and nearby locations:

  • andypurbrick Huey Morgan Gluten Freeman (@andypurbrick) reported from Walthamstow, England

@LDesesperes @virginmedia Customer service is terrible, no point in making a complaint as they say they'll contact you to discuss but never bother. As soon as an alternative option comes to our address we are leaving

  • CaraLaraLa Cara-Heleny (noses too please) Stripp (@CaraLaraLa) reported from Camden Town, England

@virginmedia Hello, we called last night about our fault and repeatedly asked to be escalated to a manager, as this is ongoing for a month. No-one would, one member of staff even laughed and put us back in the queue. So not sure how a DM is going to help now.

  • notquiteYao Yao Song Ng (@notquiteYao) reported from Islington, England

I love @virginmedia ‘s new initiative to get customers to reduce screen time and experience world. As a customer you will be connected to Virgin Media wireless whenever available and have absolutely no data at all.

  • STRAYPHOTON DAVID WOODHOUSE (@STRAYPHOTON) reported from Richmond, England

@tonydixon59 @virginmedia Thanks for your reply. No improvement - I have rebooted the box and checked all connections. Seems to have coincided with the recent wet weather, and could the fact that another customer in TW2 is having similar issues suggest water in the works?

  • UB5simon Simon Bye 🎪🔶 (@UB5simon) reported from Ealing, England

@Kezza101064 It's the old equivalent of the wi-fi going down for ages, otherwise known as being a Virgin Media customer.

  • Chevrongreens73 Edward Norman (@Chevrongreens73) reported from Brentford, England

    @virginmedia down in Willesden?

  • mariobucolo Mario Bucolo (@mariobucolo) reported from London, England

@virginmedia i have an issue on my broadband...just 2 after i complaint against a openreach engineering. what a coincidence!

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@MartynJohnPR @virginmedia I’m half way through an 18month contract - so it would be slightly more to let in run out. So frustrating as they’re saying it’s a disconnection fee but are the ones forcing me into it as they don’t offer the service

  • djsantero Santero, human ambassador to ducks (@djsantero) reported from Camberwell, England

@DJLKP @virginmedia Jaysus, that is terrible. Was considering Virgin for my new flat, not sure now...

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@virginmedia I am not disputing the validity. I am stating that this is dreadful customer service. You cannot offer a connection and therefore I have no alternative. This is reflective of your lack of coverage. The poor customer service certainly means I’ll never be back. A very bitter taste

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@virginmedia As I said, I am aware of the contract - however it reflects very poorly from a customer service perspective. You can’t offer a service to the capital city and want to charge me for your lack of coverage. Shocking business practise. #avoid #ripoffbritain @bbcone

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

Terrible customer service from @virginmedia . Don’t offer coverage at my new house and want £250 to cancel my existing connection. Would be happy to take it with me but they can’t offer a service (that should be their issue not mine). #dreadful #avoid

  • SCcrowther Simon Crowther (@SCcrowther) reported from Hackney, England

@thealisonedgar I would understand if they offered a service and I was choosing not to take it. They can’t offer a connection in London - it’s not the outer Hebrides. Leaves a bitter taste. Will never go back to @virginmedia

  • anands_ Anand Baria (@anands_) reported from Brentford, England

@virginmedia The service resumed after about and hour. Thanks

  • N19Local N19 Local (@N19Local) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia Virgin Media services - you should treat existing customers as nicely as you do new customers.

  • Chevrongreens73 Edward Norman (@Chevrongreens73) reported from Brentford, England

@virginmedia Down again. Is it Nw10 area or me?

  • aliciaverbs Alicia Carney (@aliciaverbs) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia There's always engineering work. It resolves a drop in the bucket when there are reported outages every. Single. Day. Not being hyperbolic. We were told we need to call and document every issue. So we do. Every day the automated message says engineers are coming. It's a joke.

  • jeanrauwers Jean Rauwers (@jeanrauwers) reported from London, England

@virginmedia getting these emails saying “we are sorry you are leaving” but I didn’t cancel my service with you guys. Should I be worried about it?

  • aliciaverbs Alicia Carney (@aliciaverbs) reported from Walthamstow, England

@virginmedia Looping this conversation back into noisy, bottomless support channels and forums isn't gonna cut it. I am fed up from wasting my time waiting on hold for 45-90 minutes only to be told "we've already told you engineers are coming, bye." This is infuriating.

  • STRAYPHOTON DAVID WOODHOUSE (@STRAYPHOTON) reported from Richmond, England

@tonydixon59 @virginmedia Same here, also in TW2. Was bad last night, seemed better during the day but now poor again, picture breaking up and sound drops out momentarily.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • BernardThresher Bernard Thresher (@BernardThresher) reported

@virginmedia 90 minutes though. An hour and a half? Put yourself in the customers shoes...no you can't, you're a robot. Also, I can't tell you the outcome of the 'call' as I was told to go to whatsapp I know what the outcome is going to be however, one lost customer and lots of negative press

  • Dawn18629990 Dawn (@Dawn18629990) reported

@virginmedia it’s gone down again why don’t you do do something about it we getting really fed up with now they was some supposed to came this afternoon but you cancelled it told you it keeps happening we are not happy with the service at all

  • BlueWreckingCrw The Rt. Hon Sir John of the Shires (@BlueWreckingCrw) reported

@virginmedia Yep, and got a text.saying to follow the restart/reset procedures.. It's a hardware issue rather than a connection issue

  • charo_uk Charo (@charo_uk) reported

@virginmedia Sure I can expand on this, the internet connection hasn’t been great in the last year and when I tried to call to cancel my contract I spent 1,5hr on the phone, spoke to 4 people and the last one hanged up on me saying they had issues and will call me back in 20min,never heard back

  • andyfalconer2 Andy Falconer (@andyfalconer2) reported

@virginmedia service down again...work from home, losing money...rubbish service

  • InfoBizmobile bizmobile (@InfoBizmobile) reported

@virginmedia The order was cancelled. Phone never delivered. Email from VM tells me it is cancelled. I then get a letter telling me I am in arrears for something I have never received. I would have expected a call back if cut off.

  • versarchie5 Archie Geddes (@versarchie5) reported

@virginmedia my sons phone is not letting him call or send messages and it’s beginning to really annoy me and him, to the point I want to cancel virgin mobile and move to EE. He is unable to ring me and I can’t contact him. This is not acceptable.

  • jcbell88 Jenny Bell (@jcbell88) reported

@virginmedia Multiple failed appts; multiple no-shows to fix the problem; inability to verbally speak to anyone; inability to verbally speak to anyone who has any clue what's going on; piggy-backing on my neighbour's connection for the last 8 weeks!! Latest is appt date for 4 weeks time!!

  • Scius Scius (@Scius) reported

@virginmedia your service status website has stopped working, I get a 404 after I plug in my postcode and surname.

  • BernardThresher Bernard Thresher (@BernardThresher) reported

@virginmedia Still nothing. Is it a lack of staff causing these excessive delays? @NTSscamsteam No service or support here from @virginmedia
