@virginmedia Tx. What is reason for London N16 collapse of service? Your team must know that it exemplifies routine unreliability & less-than-promised bandwidth; calls into question willingness / ability to deliver service. Time to switch?

@virginmedia broadband service in Greenwich London is shocking, hasn't been working for 1 week now and when I've rang customer services multiple times, all they try to do is up-sell me on their other more expensive packages. Terror to think we pay for this service!!!!

@Paulos_the_fog @virginmedia Because of home working I upgraded to 350mbps package and was getting that until a few months ago measured using a variety of apps - now it’s down to 80 consistently.

@virginmedia That is the box that appears *after* clicking to register loss of service. See top line:”problem registering loss of service”. System apparently designed to avoid and flaws being found in it. Old capitalist adage:”the provider is always right”😜😎

@virginmedia I called to register the fault but that is not an option that is available. So Virgin recognises a fault; customer just cannot register it. Flawed, no? #virginmediadown No wonder #VirginGalactic can thrive. Clever.

@doismellburning @danpalmer I have a self-hosted box with DigitalOcean in London. My use case is isolation from local networks and ISP privacy (I know I’m just moving the problem, but I trust DO more than Virgin Media). For those cases, VPN providers are a haven for data collection, so no.

@TheStevieG123 @virginmedia I had a similar issue with EE (plus the phone wasn't a good enough upgrade for the money!) I sent it back within 14 days and got a sim only. 5g prob won't be worthwhile over here for some time yet

@virginmedia In total I have spent 6 hours just trying to close my a/c. When I have moved I will be changing my 2 mobile sim contracts with you. Your cust service is terrible. I have been intouch with home ins and Sky and BGas this past week to and had quick and efficient help, yours awful.
-
Stephanie
(@stephmarieexo) reported
@virginmedia Some of my channels had been cut off. After 6 hours calling back and forth I got someone who sorted my problem within 5 minutes. Everyone else I spoke to was too quick to pass me on to someone else (usually the wrong department). I had to wait 20 minutes on hold everytime.

DJ Ravine

@virginmedia Yes they are useless because they’ll confirm a fault, it’ll be fixed for a day and then it goes to hell again. They never tell me what’s wrong either. Genuinely sick of this. You’ve been no help.

@virginmedia Like I said, they suggest reboot, reset, which then works for a while, and at that point they say “it’s working fine now, goodbye”. 10mins later it’s awful again....😑

@virginmedia You have that stitched up tight: "£8 per day for a total loss of service after 2 full working days from registering the loss of service to us". Nmind that I have ME and was without a phone for 36 hrs in a pandemic...all good.
