@virginmedia On wired connection I’m getting the same results 431mb download and 30mb upload. I’ve tried to diagnose the issue via your website and it suggested again to send out a technician, so I’ve requested one to come again next Monday 11th.

@virginmedia @FeelitWorking I think the OP is airing his frustration at the fact that he has to ask for discount at the end of the contract. VM does not do this with its business customers (I know as a former very satisfied business customer) so why should it apply to consumers? To be fair, Sky, BT, Talk…

  • yessibelloperez
Yessi Bello-Perez (@yessibelloperez) reported from Ealing, England

@virginmedia Yep, not good enough. What’s the issue? Why does it keep happening and what are you doing about it? And how are you compensating customers?

  • P4TTL
Patrick Smith (@P4TTL) reported from Chertsey, England

@virginmedia Yep, no issues in the area. Everything was working up until about an hour ago, and now the Internet has gone very sporadic and constantly disconnecting, as shown by the ping test.

Hi @virginmedia, I’ve spent more than an hour on the phone to your advisors this morning and am getting nowhere. I have therefore now decided I would like to cancel my contract (I am within cooling-off period). Would I still be considered a ‘new’ customer if I find a new deal?

@MelJanie @virginmedia Virgin Media are up there for any worst customer service award! They took 3 weeks to restore our connection, promised us compensation (promises we were able to obtain a recording of), refused to pay that compensation and then fought us every step of the way. Dreadful.

  • Irate_Jobbie
    Irate_Jobbie (@Irate_Jobbie) reported

@AwTroon Many, many years ago, I called virgin media to tell them I was leaving. They asked why, I said you don't offer value for money anymore. Sorry you're leaving but that is the best price, you already have. It was expensive. No problem, bye now. Next day, virgin cold calls me. Asks me to confirm who I am. I said no, you are calling me, you should know. Guy was annoyed as he was phoning to offer me a better deal. I said fine, I'll call the same retentions team I called yesterday to leave and I'll know it's actually virgin. He got angry, said they can't offer discounts, only he could and if I didn't confirm my details, he couldn't give me the offer. I just told him I could no longer do business with virgin due to such poor security procedures. He seemed very angry about the fact I wasn't willing to give personal identifiable information to a stranger cold calling me. Never paid them a penny again.

  • ExpanseCon
    Expanse Consulting Ltd (@ExpanseCon) reported

@MikeScheider_ Not a vodafone issue. Looks like a core switch failure, optical cross-connect fault or other fault inside one of the central carrier-neutral hubs. It has dropped interconnection across multiple fixed ISPs (Virgin Media, Eir, Siro, NBI) simultaneously.

  • Connorgower3
    Connor gower (@Connorgower3) reported

I have had issues with my broadband for the last 48 hours so far where it keeps being intermittent it's not the first time it's happened and pushing me closer to leaving @virginmedia
