Declan Higgins ☘ (@declan1968) reported from Southwark, England
@virginmedia What does an area outage mean? I pay Virgin about £150 a month for services. This is over the odds but I thought I was getting a reliable service and so went with it.
-
Declan Higgins ☘ (@declan1968) reported from Southwark, England
@virginmedia Oh yeah. Nothing that explains why it keeps happening though. Fix dates are usually meaningless. Feels like we're being rationed.
-
Alyson Leitch (@Geordiesbird) reported from Woking, England
@virginmedia hi virgin.. my TV is showing error codes c217 and c230. I have turned everything off and reset modem and tivo boxes 5 times and more and still no Internet. Its my husbands account but he's away till Thursday. Help please
-
#AshTag (@Ashley_Rhysss) reported from Southwark, England
The service from @virginmedia is utterly dreadful. Had Wi-Fi issues so they sent someone out to rectify. Worked for 2 days then the same issues started again. Not had working Wi-Fi for the last 3 weeks. If your thinking of going with them for tv / internet, go with someone else.
-
DJ MRT (@DJMRT) reported from Sutton, England
It would appear that despite 3 emails to @virginmedia regarding their lack of service, their rubbish broadband and the fact my TV hasn’t worked since November - they have instead chosen to engage debt collectors for a £141.54 (for ONE MONTH) bill. See you in court then I guess.
-
Geoff Rogers (@GeoffRogersEU) reported from Hersham, England
@virginmedia @FeelitWorking I think the OP is airing his frustration at the fact that he has to ask for discount at the end of the contract. VM does not do this with its business customers (I know as a former very satisfied business customer) so why should it apply to consumers? To be fair, Sky, BT, Talk…
-
グラハム・スミス® ©Official (@BancoDePapa) reported from London, England
@TfL why is the 4G signal on the Central line underground only around the posh area's of Notting Hill Gate, Queensway and Holland Park? Since @virginmedia stopped their WiFi in April it's annoying that a major metropolis like London has no internet connections on a lot of lines
-
Tinders (@safctinders) reported from Worcester Park, England
@virginmedia Abysmal service. Pay a premium for this stuff and nothing but aggro; TV freezes, ages to boot up… been sat here 20 minutes and still “starting up”. **** show.
-
Dr Jan Evelyn-Wilson (@WilsonJevelyn) reported from London, England
@VirginMedia wi-fi just cut out AGAIN! Annoying when one is in the middle of something. WHY!
-
Lewis Allen ⚒ (@_Lewis_A) reported from London, England
@ameehan71 @virginmedia All new and reconnected. 200mb then next day nothing, comes on for a day then drops to 10mb. Talk to customer service and they don't have a clue. They also want over £400 for me to leave. Worst service I've ever known
-
Alex (@ameehan71) reported from Bromley, England
@_Lewis_A @virginmedia I had this problem and was advised to buy new cables, did that and it gets minimum 200mb now, also make sure all cables are really tight and fitted properly.
-
Lewis Allen ⚒ (@_Lewis_A) reported from London, England
So @virginmedia won't let me leave our contract despite their service continually crashing or not providing the speed it promises. Ultrafast broadband but getting nothing or 9mb download. Fed up with it now. Avoid them at all costs. #VirginMediaoutage #broadband

Mitch Manning 💜💙🦁🇺🇦 (@MitchM77) reported from Worcester Park, England
@neilpr85 @virginmedia Yes, this! Oh and now O2 have told me I might lose signal over 24hrs as they’re doing some works. So no mobile data for me either! I feel like I’ve jumped in a time machine and have gone back to 1990!! 😫

Shah 🦅 (@shah4569) reported from London, England
@virginmedia All these problems. But still fleecing money from us.
-
Shah 🦅 (@shah4569) reported from London, England
@virginmedia bring back customer service to the UK. Philippines is a joke!
-
traymca 💙 (@traymca) reported from Worcester Park, England
@virginmedia this is getting ridiculous now! What’s happening with your service again today!!! Trying to watch on @BBCiPlayer and it buffers every 30 seconds!! Can’t watch anything and accessing websites including your own is so painful #virginmediadown #virginmedia
-
traymca 💙 (@traymca) reported from Worcester Park, England
Problems again with @virginmedia in Oxford!! When will you get this sorted #virginbroadband #virginmediadown
-
Mark 🌈🏳️🌈 (@markselondon) reported from Blackheath, England
@virginmedia Broadband down again this morning in SE London, got through to customer services and they advised the outage expected to be fixed by 12th April. No compensation offered and I would have to pay a penalty to cancel my contract.
-
グラハム・スミス® ©Official (@BancoDePapa) reported from London, England
I wonder if anyone has a #skyglass connected to a #virginmedia broadband? At least with #SkyQ your TV service will be unaffected
-
Melanie Hart (@MelanieHart72) reported from London, England
@virginmedia You have put my bill up from £84 to £96 in one month and you are not providing a service I should have my full services 24/7 for that price and getting any compensation it like getting blood out of a stone !!! Disgusting service

The cloudscaper (@TCloudscaper) reported
@virginmedia @555Husker Virgin Media has promised to fix my broadband since the 15th day in, day out, empty words. They cut my wire and left. Still no service, no fix, just promises. This isn’t acceptable. #VirginMedia #BroadbandFail

mick harkin (@mickharkin68531) reported
@brakusmc @virginmedia @SkyUK I would expect so much more from a business broadband service
-
The REAL Ric Jones (@brakusmc) reported
At this point, I'm certain @virginmedia is just a ploy to get me back in the office. My phone is on WiFi but the app says I'm not. Awful signal in my home office & when they tell me to order a pod, the link doesn't work. Even though it was slower, I shouldn't have left @SkyUK
-
𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐄 🌺 (@KatieMcElhoney) reported
@virginmedia swapping over to yourselves has been such a mistake & it seems so immoral keeping us in our contract when you can’t provide the speeds we have paid for. 15 years with @O2 and they’ll be losing me as a customer too because your merger insinuates you both think it’s OK
-
John Yani (@JohnYani) reported
@c3llc0de @shangoman @virginmedia VirginMedia beats OpenReach in fibre coverage. And is cheaper. The problem is either aggressive sales or a leaky customer database.
-
Kazzaaaaah!! (@Kazzaaaaah) reported
@bobwootton @virginmedia My broadband is off too (nothing new there). Service check no help - all it wants to do is run a speed check which doesn't work because I'm not online! TV has an amber exclamation mark too but that's working fine. Hope I'm online by am or I'll have to pay to go into the office
-
Dan Emsley (@DanEmsman) reported
@virginmedia I've had broadband for just over a week as a new customer. It seems to be working fine apart from a small dropout last weekend except for my Sky Q TV box. It cannot hold a connection so can't watch any on demand TV. I've tried various things based upon online advice
-
Tommybhoy79🍀🏴⚽ (@ruchillbhoy79) reported
Hey @virginmedia get your internet issues sorted in the Uddingston area! Been faulty for months now.... we're fed up paying you lot a lot of money for a shite service! 😡🤬 Time to look for a switch I'm thinking and I won't be the only one I bet!
-
Horatio Bullwinkle (@harryvek) reported
@virginmedia You guys have a scummy customer retention policy. My contract is expiring soon. I'll be paying £63.42 if I take the renewal now costs, and from 13/08/2025 my monthly price will go up to £102.42 otherwise If I don't. Yet new customers after their contract is up at 18 months are being charged £40.49 till April 2026, how do you justify this ridiculous practice ??
-
B o b W o o t t o n (also on BlueSkyj (@bobwootton) reported
@virginmedia Yes, still down, estimated fix by 7pm
