Phoned them 2 weeks ago to tell them my parents’ home phone line has been cut in half and broadband is down. Have booked 4 appointments with their engineers, each time they haven’t turned up or said anything. shite 🗑

Steve Rowley (@MidEssexOD) reported from Islington, England@Ofcom Please encourage @bt_uk to make it more obvious that once the BT home phone service goes digital as the PSTN is being switched off 999 calls cannot be made in the event of a power cut or broadband failure. On their comms its in the small print.

Not a seamless switch (5 days without broadband) but friendly customer service when you had a wobble, text from engineer to say it’s sorted and a dollop of credit volunteered at the end. Not bad. Chris (@tringgooner) reported@bt_uk I think anyone would be unhappy don’t you? Messed around, then asked for a £20 deposit to that you will hold onto for up to 6 months. It’s a bloody disgrace. That is no way to treat any customer. And you know it.
