Hi @TalkTalk. Could you please have a look at issues with network in Amersham area. The WiFi has been terrible since today morning and your online portal does not show any issues with the line. Talktalk dashboard isn't even loading right now and I am getting the speed of 5 Mbps

@sixteenthCgirl @ThreeUK Apparently BBC1 The One Show like to know if these things as does the Times and Daily Mail. Yet, would other Cos. fair better. I got a rude letter from TalkTalk saying my Broadband plan (£31 pm) is out dated (Virgin sold out to them, they put me on plan). Need to use Fibre!

@virginmedia I was unable to use the same website on tablet or laptop - the website owner said the issue was due to slow internet speed and @TalkTalk had advised that you were digging up the cable in the area with the potential for disruption and I wondered if this work had overrun

have essentially got a monopoly on internet in UK, unless you're with Virgin, you are getting your internet from BT. Like if someone is like "I hate BT, now I get my internet from TalkTalk/PlusNet/EE/whatever, and the service is so much better", I always have to bite my tongue

@Shinybiscuit Agreed, very annoying! Only other thing I can think of is that TalkTalk have some settings on the router that could cause some problems. Google says someone got the support team to disable the setting “WiFi optimisation”, doesn’t seem to be something you can do yourself though 🥺
