@Ofcom Please encourage @bt_uk to make it more obvious that once the BT home phone service goes digital as the PSTN is being switched off 999 calls cannot be made in the event of a power cut or broadband failure. On their comms its in the small print.

@bt_uk please can you do something about the sheer amount of spam callers we’re getting. 3-4 a day to my mother who has dementia. Already called 150 and they can’t/won’t help

  • pkllwy

Hi @bt_uk another neighbour in the building has also reported identical issues. Sending me a replacement router clearly isn't the solution

  • Jmaguire2
Joe Maguire (@Jmaguire2) reported from Hackney, England

@btsport commentary has to be the worst thing, they're just talking rubbish. 'not a bad game this' is the least useful comment you could come up with

  • pkllwy
Paul Kellaway (@pkllwy) reported from Poplar, England

@bt_uk It's just a shame that your customer service department isn't able to use commonsense and escalate to openreach for investigation when there was patently a problem reported

  • JaneBLyons
Jane Lyons (@JaneBLyons) reported from Camberwell, England

Absolutely. There’s been nil interest or support from @bt_uk @WeAreOpenreach for years. Now reached crisis point with with so many relying on bad WiFi to keep learning, working or to get their shopping slot. Action now please

@bt_uk Wireless, exactly the same way it was before I was forced to get a new identical account with the same users doing the same things without issues. My ms goes from the 20s to in the thousands in semi-regular intervals regardless of time of day or other usage.

Maddy Goes Mad (@Maddygoesmad) reported from Poplar, England

@bt_uk is there a problem with WiFi? I can’t connect. Tried trouble shooting but nothing other than a solid orange light.

  • dickster0103
Richard Easton (@dickster0103) reported from Camberwell, England

@bt_uk Love your complaints process! You fail to deliver on your commitments. I contact you repeatedly. You offer to raise a complaint, which you do....And then close it again an hour later without actually doing anything or consulting me! Must make you KPI's look great.

  • jbrittaingeorge
Jess Brittain-George (@jbrittaingeorge) reported from Hackney, England

Hi @bt_uk I’m a teensy bit baffled why you sent my new router and hub to a different address than my billing address, but Royal Mail have returned to sender so could you fix it? I *really* don’t wanna spend another hour on hold to CS.

  • edwardwoodhouse
Edward Woodhouse (@edwardwoodhouse) reported from Poplar, England

@bt_uk we were told our wifi would go live today. It hasn’t. We were also given a mini hub which doesn’t work. Please can you help us sort this?

  • danfellows
Daniel Fellows (@danfellows) reported from Camberwell, England

Hey @Ofcom can you please look into the legalities of @btsport still charging anxious customers for a premium service that hasn't existed for 3 weeks due to #COVIDー19 (non-ones fault) @Skysports already voluntarily pausing subscriptions #BT #customersuccess

  • kylepont
KP 🇺🇸 (@kylepont) reported from Ilford, England

Hi @BT_uk I’d just like you to know your customer care staff are as useful as a chocolate teapot. Set up broadband over the phone, gave direct debit setup information, they didn’t set up the direct debit and I got cut off a month later. Called you, fixed it, got told direct debit

  • DrKAinslie
Kylie Ainslie (@DrKAinslie) reported from Islington, England

You know you've made it when your internet provider calls you a "priority customer" and sends you a SIM and a new phone as a stop gap until they can sort out your internet issues! @EE @bt_uk @Plusnet

@WeAreOpenreach @btbusinesscare @BTBusiness appalling breach of service. 4 dates have now passed where we were told broadband would be fixed. BT seem to think this is acceptable as 'it's subject to change' How are we supposed to run a business with no comms!! 4 weeks & counting

@btbusinesscare Hi have you guys fixed the issue the web ex portal error? There is an unknown error causing a problem. this was the start of the error but to be told by support im making it up is a joke even with images of it.

@bt_uk you’ve emailed me saying I can view my bill, can’t get into my account. Is there a problem with your website ??? Been like it all day and I’d like to see my bill !

  • Red_Rescue
    Sebastian Colt (@Red_Rescue) reported

@bt_uk Speaking to support on the phone anecdotally this seems to be a significant problem. I think the scale of it can be tracked by how many calls last less that a few seconds (due to dead air) or how many pin numbers are requested but not used. (as they are not supplied in time)

  • Krisp06
    Trevor Chenery (@Krisp06) reported

@countrymousie @btbusinesscare I wouldn't have thought so. You can keep your landline but you would need to move it -eventually - to a 'digital supplier' when the line service finally ends. However, I checked with Dr Google & his Elves & they made the following points which sound like very good news. "Starlink does not directly provide a traditional copper landline service, but it can fully replace one as part of the UK PSTN switch-off by supporting Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. You can keep your existing phone number and handset by using a VoIP adapter connected to the Starlink router, suitable for replacing old copper lines. How it Works: Starlink provides high-speed internet, allowing you to use third-party VoIP providers (e.g., Plexatalk, Premitel) to make calls via your internet connection. Requirements: You will need a VoIP Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) to plug your existing telephone handset into the Starlink Wi-Fi router. Suitability: VoIP over Starlink is ideal for rural areas where copper is being removed, offering sufficient speed and reliability.Alternatives: If you do not wish to use VoIP, you may look at mobile phone-based solutions, which are also often used when replacing old copper lines. As the UK moves towards a digital-only network by 2027, switching to a VoIP service via a broadband connection like Starlink is a common solution." You need to find & check it al lout with a good IT man to help you through the key steps & stages. You may also need to invest in new telephone hand sets around your house to replace your old BT ones. You won't need wires to connect them, it all works digitally through the air.
