S.A (@ShadaBhaiShahed) reported from Stratford, England@bt_uk hi I really need help urgently, an open reach engineer came on Monday to install my complete Wi-fi package it was working fine. -
Antonia (@Flaminhaystack) reported from London, England@jenniseex @bt_uk @virginmedia Yep. I have very poor Internet in my home and pay large prices. Everytime I phone to get it rectified, I'm told there is nothing wrong with the WiFi and my house is the issue. Pathetic. I detest them
-
farah says (@Farah_Lou) reported from Loughton, England@bt_uk Two days ago, told that someone would come today from 8-1 but no one turned up and we got a text full of grammatical errors saying that the next update would be on Monday 🙃 it will be 2 and half weeks by then. It’s unacceptable.
-
Barry French (@Barry2103) reported from Richmond, EnglandThere is a scam going on. A machine is calling the @bt_uk line claiming you have ordered an iPad on @AmazonUK and want your bank details so as they can issue a refund. If BT would like to give me details where I can report this...
-
the spark (@sparkloaf26) reported from Barnet, England@Sara_Conway3 @bt_uk @BarnetCouncil Thank u lets hope its taken down most people just use them to gonto the toilet also dad said its dangerous u can't see buses coming down to turn corner
-
jim lee (@jimbo888) reported from East Ham, England@bt_uk I already block them but unfortunately they’re never ending. Surely these numbers can be traced and the relevant authorities can get them shut down as they’re trying to defraud people, Also they’re claiming to be the person’s internet service provider
-
farah says (@Farah_Lou) reported from Loughton, England@bt_uk The mind BOGGLES how your engineers don’t work on weekends? In this day and age you should have 24/7 engineers the same way that plumbers/electricians work. It’s just ridiculous that we pay for a service that can only be fixed on a weekday.
-
Bill / 葛威 (@BillGlover) reported from Camden Town, England@bt_uk So… “We’ve tested your service and found a problem within our network. We will arrange an Openreach engineer to investigate.” @OpenreachHelp @bt_uk If you know there is a problem, why does your status page report there are no issues? Why do I need to proactively request a fix?
-
Lynn MT (@Team_M_T) reported from Tottenham, England@bt_uk You might be answering calls but sadly not delivering. Grandparents house move in difficult circumstances, booked in October, have been let down every day for the last 2 weeks. Potentially no internet over Christmas in a rural area with poor cellular network cut off from family
-
George Mann (@sgfmann) reported from Ilford, England@bt_uk Because we were loyal customers for a decade and you responsed to that loyalty but ramping up our charges outrageously. Because of some difficult family times, we didn’t check as closely as we should but I will never give BT a penny more.
-
Peter Hughes (@PeterLingua) reported from Tottenham, England@bt_uk keep being phoned by people who claim they work at BT and are calling me because I have problems with my internet which I don’t and haven’t reported to you. Just checking this definitely isn’t you and not a scam? Was called from 02085584464
-
☘Adrian 🇪🇺 Madden ☘ (@KushlasBySanaer) reported from Brentford, EnglandI've just been texting @bt_uk customer services and it turned out to be quite a straight-forward uncomplicated transaction. May need to sit down out of shock.
-
George Mann (@sgfmann) reported from Ilford, England@bt_uk I was turned down when I wanted to negotiate, I was charged £85 for broadband and BT sport for three years. I was told “you agreed the price tough”. As I said due to family issues my eye wasn’t on the detail. Closed my BT account over a year ago, never will return.
-
theatregirl (@theatregirl5264) reported from Barnet, England@bt_uk reported a fault. Got a date and an engineer name. They didn’t attend, pretended they had. Complained, made another appointment. No name this time but still pretended they had arrived. So new “fast “ broadband slower than old. Service? What service.

-
jim lee (@jimbo888) reported from East Ham, England@bt_uk please can you do something about the sheer amount of spam callers we’re getting. 3-4 a day to my mother who has dementia. Already called 150 and they can’t/won’t help
-
Sam Ó hAtháirne (@OhAthairne) reported from Islington, EnglandListening to Glenn hoddle mispronounce names on @btsport is like scraping your finger nails down a blackboard. #cringe
BT (British Telecom) Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Peter B (@barlers1) reported@bt_uk That's it? Due to BT's ERROR we are without broadband for a month in a poor reception area. If you turn the signal off why can't you turn it on again? Why do you just say "computer says no". Why would I ever trust BT again when they refuse to sort their own mistakes?
-
𝐿𝒶𝓊𝓇𝒶 (@wiggypower) reported@bt_uk Seems to be our entire area that is down? EH22. Even card machines at shops are down? Wouldn’t let us use card, cash only.
-
Jeremy Davies (@DaviesJeremy) reported@bt_uk Shocking service #wedontcare - moved 93 year father-in-law from @VodafoneUK / - they disabled copper line (which was not requested - fall alarm system now failing) / account access broken / support is terrible and even they recommend that we should move to @TalkTalk !
-
Jo Jackman (@jackman_jo) reported@bt_uk PLEASE can someone contract me from the UK! that will actually help and Understand. i am sick of hours of patronising and robotic replies for a very serious matter !
-
Martyn Havell (@BadWilf) reportedMy super-duper, will never drop backed up by 4G WiFi by @bt_uk has gone down again. What an absolute bargain at £55 a month

Thom Collyer (@collyer_thomas) reported@bt_uk hey what’s going on with the BT Openreach outage? In Brighton we have no WiFi, in London it’s total blackout but there’s nothing online about any of it. When will it all be working again?
-
Peter B (@barlers1) reported@bt_uk Yes Aaron. We moved the date one month. Confirmed new date for new house. Signal here turned off today one month early. Nothing BT can do to rectify their mistake apparently which is disgraceful.
-
Jay 🏳️🌈 (@JayR_Xx) reported@collyer_thomas @bt_uk Lost contact with a friend almost 6 days ago cuz of internet. I am seeing reports and complaints galore about outages across the UK. I am in Canada and outages this long would never be tolerated. All your ISP’s seem to be trying to say there’s no issue and just blame others.
-
Thom Collyer (@collyer_thomas) reported@JayR_Xx @bt_uk Yeah exactly. I’ve contacted Sky and all they’ve said is ‘yes it looks like there’s an outage in your area’ but couldn’t tell me why or what’s causing it
