-
Martin Bamford (@martinbamford) reported from Cranleigh, England@LAMTownsend @bt_uk I think the problem is with @OpenreachHelp rather than BT? I’m hearing that BT are sending out engineers to households but unable to do anything to restore the Internet when they arrive because there is a wider network issue. Strange that they’re unaware though.

His worst finish for years and years on the slowest factory bike in the paddock.

Trevor Chenery (@Krisp06) reported@countrymousie @btbusinesscare I wouldn't have thought so. You can keep your landline but you would need to move it -eventually - to a 'digital supplier' when the line service finally ends. However, I checked with Dr Google & his Elves & they made the following points which sound like very good news. "Starlink does not directly provide a traditional copper landline service, but it can fully replace one as part of the UK PSTN switch-off by supporting Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. You can keep your existing phone number and handset by using a VoIP adapter connected to the Starlink router, suitable for replacing old copper lines. How it Works: Starlink provides high-speed internet, allowing you to use third-party VoIP providers (e.g., Plexatalk, Premitel) to make calls via your internet connection. Requirements: You will need a VoIP Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) to plug your existing telephone handset into the Starlink Wi-Fi router. Suitability: VoIP over Starlink is ideal for rural areas where copper is being removed, offering sufficient speed and reliability.Alternatives: If you do not wish to use VoIP, you may look at mobile phone-based solutions, which are also often used when replacing old copper lines. As the UK moves towards a digital-only network by 2027, switching to a VoIP service via a broadband connection like Starlink is a common solution." You need to find & check it al lout with a good IT man to help you through the key steps & stages. You may also need to invest in new telephone hand sets around your house to replace your old BT ones. You won't need wires to connect them, it all works digitally through the air.

Simboman 🇬🇧 🇺🇦 (@simboman) reported@brian_mcbride1 @bt_uk That's similar experience to my 90 year old mother's complaint about digital switchover and contract renewal. Sent a complaint letter to BT plc, PO Box 334, Sheffield, S98 1BT and received a text a couple of weeks later saying the complaint had been closed but with no resolution.
-
Sebastian Colt (@Red_Rescue) reported@bt_uk I did some asking around for others I know on BT and one showed me their laptop was allowing them into their mail with no request for the SMS at all and their desktop was experiencing the same issue as I do - always wants calls that never arrive to mobile or landline in time.
-
Asif Rana (@HounslowParking) reported@bt_uk I’ve told your complaint handlers I’m not spending one more minute of my time talking to anyone from BT. Even recalling any part of this mess will make me lose my temper and I’ve already spent hours. My monthly bills have gone from £125 to over £500. Why? BT has no answer.
-
CARL ROBINSON (@CARLOSUK01) reported@btbusinesscare please cancel my order as you seem incapable of delivering a service and can’t even manage to transfer me to a supervisor to escalate my complaint when you change my installation yet again - that’s almost 4 weeks waiting now 🙁
-
Ben Thompson (@BenBonj) reportedIsn’t it funny I had no internet issues until @bt_uk offer me to upgrade my package since then it’s been dogshite. Dropping out constantly & buffering when I didn’t take em up on it. Almost as if they’ve slowed it down deliberately to make me upgrade to get more money out of me.
-
John O'Connor (@thereal_JOC) reported@bt_uk Still no joy. Using both my phone and a desktop. Same issues persists. Happy to keep my existing appointment date but slightly annoying. I’ve made a note of your number, but perhaps this is an issue that needs looking at in the background as well.
-
Steph Murray (@DerekDonkey1977) reported@bt_uk 9 engineer visits, executive level complaint and no resolution and your solution is to close the complaint Why am I paying for a service I’m not receiving
-
Simon Bowler (@simonjbowler) reported@bt_uk Perhaps you could read the message I sent ans acknowledge that your chat service and account access aren't working for one of your customers. To be honest, that would resonate better than inviting me to spend an hour on the phone for a 5 minute issue.
-
Steph Murray (@DerekDonkey1977) reported@bt_uk That’s completely unacceptable Why can I not exit a contract for a service everyone says it’s not consistent with constantly dropping devices
