  • stigzy Ethan Clarke (@stigzy) reported from Ilkeston, England

@VirginMediaCorp @mdw1989 We're also very sorry we didn't inform you a newer hub model was available years ago, & that you've been paying us for a really shit slow model. Corrected it for you @virginmedia 👍🏼. (They gave me £50 off my bill for the same thing Mike, don't let them get away without compo)

  • juliebuxtonberr Juebb (@juliebuxtonberr) reported from Ilkeston, England

@virginmedia my red button for sky sports isn’t working please help ! #nffc

  • schluppeck Denis Schluppeck (@schluppeck) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia - you need to up your game! my experience today: terrible customer service and head-in-the-sand about some real issues affecting several 🏘 along the road (area ref 30). I really doubt the 99.96% uptime and 200Mbps* (*conditions apply) is even close to real world.

  • szymon__j Szymon (@szymon__j) reported from Balderton, England

@virginmedia After speaking to numerous of your Tech representatives, it appears that none of them know what they’re doing :) I am sorry to say but the customer service is poor.

  • tizzy_woo Allison Briers (@tizzy_woo) reported from Stapleford, England

@virginmedia That's the installations team, and they put me on hold again. Please give me an email address so I can put my notice in writing. It's pretty terrible that to cancel my contract I have to do a twitter conversation with you because I can't get through on the phone!

  • hatch_rebecca Rebecca Hatch (@hatch_rebecca) reported from Ruddington, England

@virginmedia very disappointed in your customer service, unhelpful, defensive and unbothered is best way to describe it. Was on fence about leaving but this has pushed a decision. Always had great things to say about virgin so this is definitely a let down

  • danielpalfi Daniel Palfi (@danielpalfi) reported from Annesley, England

@virginmedia our internet is down for good 20 mins, the lights going crazy on modem and the 4th light flashing green! NG178ET

  • jonrileynffc Jon (@jonrileynffc) reported from Selston, England

@virginmedia No faults. Other channels fine. Just sky sports quality is terrible

  • emseditorial Emma-Louise ⚽️🔴⚪ (@emseditorial) reported from Sandiacre, England

Red button not working on @virginmedia, bloody typical. Can't wait to be rid tbh 🙄 #nffc

  • marksimms3 Mark Simms (@marksimms3) reported from Selston, England

@bandq_help big shout out to Robert Reilly in your customer services Centre .. helpful, friendly, efficient. has done exactly what he said he would to resolve my issue and then called me to confirm! Credit to you @BandQ @bandq_help @virginmedia should hire Robert .. he’s good ..

  • szymon__j Szymon (@szymon__j) reported from Balderton, England

@virginmedia The issue hasn’t been resolved yet but they’re attempting to, I have to wait and see what it’s going to be like over the next couple of days

  • MrluckLuck Steve Luck (@MrluckLuck) reported from Ruddington, England

@JConcreteABH @virginmedia One of the reasons I dropped VM. Was paying for 200mb and only got 40 at best. Signal dropped so often but always told to reboot modem even after trying to. Got slower set up now but at least it works when I want it and not at their whim. Rant over.

  • PhilRobottom Phillip Robottom (@PhilRobottom) reported from Blidworth, England

@virginmedia When you’ve been on hold since 7.42pm then you get cut off after 1hr 3mins of waiting. Awful Awful Awful. This is only the fifth attempt to correct a long term existing customer. As per awful advertisements on TV shall we try and disguise ourselves as new customers!

  • szymon__j Szymon (@szymon__j) reported from Balderton, England

@virginmedia It’s an issue with the broadband, kept getting passed back and forth between departments until eventually one of the colleagues dropped the call. I managed to get a manager on the phone in the end but it took way too long for what the problem actually was.

  • jonrileynffc Jon (@jonrileynffc) reported from Selston, England

@virginmedia the picture quality on my sky sports is awful. Can barely make out who the players are 😕

  • DaveMaran Dave Maran (@DaveMaran) reported from Brinsley, England

@virginmedia intermittent internet connection and speed for the past 3 days. Support just tell you to restart or reset hub then hang up! This is getting ridiculous. 70mb at moment when it works, even thought I should get 350+.

  • tizzy_woo Allison Briers (@tizzy_woo) reported from Stapleford, England

@virginmedia No, the operator confirmed my only option was to cancel as he couldn't reduce the price, so I asked him to formally cancel my contract, he put me on hold and never came back! After 45 minutes I hung up. Thanks for replying btw 😊

  • dibr150201 Diana Brown (@dibr150201) reported from Ravenshead, England

@McGiff @virginmedia And me. Internet down for three days and can’t get through. This happened a few weeks ago and I found the complaints 08000521474 I think 08436580676 is switch board. It worked then. Trying again tomorrow. I am a big fan carol.

  • marksimms3 Mark Simms (@marksimms3) reported from Selston, England

Wow... I honestly thought @virginmedia we’re the worst for customer service but seems like they’ve got serious competition from @ArrowXL_Help and @BandQ - both want to test your commitment to holding for an answer at least 20mins each

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • DeanMcKeown Dean McKeown (@DeanMcKeown) reported

@virginmedia Well Virgin have his contact numbers all they have to do if give him a call to arrange an engineer, he has no automated messages and usually answers within three rings...now that's customer service for you.

  • LouWhiteheadPA LouiseWPA (@LouWhiteheadPA) reported

@virginmedia They have redone my O2 contract and sent it through on email. I do not want that. How do I cancel it? I can't spend another hour on hold.

  • KariMackoVO 𝑲𝒂𝒓𝒊 𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒐 (@KariMackoVO) reported

@virginmedia We will probably be switching providers We can’t have the lack of urgency to resolve issues in a house that works from home. Other companies are better at this.

  • Libby25N Libby N (@Libby25N) reported

@virginmedia I am totally stuck. Virgin set up the contract which I never wanted and are now telling me I have to cancel the @02 Contract but I have tried contacting O2 4 times to confirm cancellation and each time it is not cancelled.

  • j0hnskot John Skoteiniotis (@j0hnskot) reported

@virginmedia And now I have to wait again for someone to "fix" something you broke. IF it's fixed at all!!

  • j0hnskot John Skoteiniotis (@j0hnskot) reported

@virginmedia Is this your actual question? If I booked another tech visit? Of course I did! But that doesn't fix the fact that your "tech visit" actually left me with no internet at all compare to at least having an unstable connection!

  • Bernade31879094 Bernadette Malley (@Bernade31879094) reported

@virginmedia It's not me personally,it's neighbours, however the last time the engineer came out he set up boosters to the signal which don't happen now. I can still get Virgin TV.

  • cooljools58 Julian Philpot (@cooljools58) reported

@virginmedia Currently trying to get your support agent (on a dodgy phone line and whose command of English is limited) to understand my postcode. He has a particular problem with Z. This is EXACTLY why you should let me make updates online.

  • Libby25N Libby N (@Libby25N) reported

@virginmedia I am a Virgin Media Customer of 20+years. I called to see if I could upgrade my internet. Got told that I could go from 300GB to 500GB for £1 extra a month if I got a £6 ONE-OFF 02 Sim card. Now I have an 18 month contract with 02 which I never agreed to and cannot cancel.

  • MarkMit24823340 Mark Silver (@MarkMit24823340) reported

    @virginmedia @NatGeoUK Why as a customer of 20 years am I paying £67 a month for 260mb whilst you're advertising 1gb for £45???????
