    @virginmedia Thanks for replying so quickly. Finger crossed you can fix it sooner than later. Not necessarily for me (though that wld be nice) but for people who really need phones & computers to work. Using mobile WiFi at moment.

    @SW_Help @RMTunion btw, was due to work at home part of tomorrow because of ongoing #swrstrike but cos of @virginmedia’s ineptitude fixing cable fault, no WiFi , so I can’t. I’ll need to use @SW_Railway terrible strike replacemen trains!. You All owe me compensation I think!

    @unsliced @virginmedia One strand of fibre cable can transfer a lot of data. When they talk about a cable it’s going to have multiple strands so it can carry even more. It sucks that it’s down, but repairing fibre is not trivial.

    @virginmedia Came down to virgin deactivating and now can’t turn it back in now need to wait for new equipment about time virgin got a uk call centre and all departments in one room so no need to talk to 3 different departments

    @_MissieBee @SkyHelpTeam @bt_uk My parents pay over £100 monthly for Sky (no idea how - I assume because they just left it being more elderly). Their internet is terrible (only decent in one room & catch-up takes forever to download). I pay half that with Virgin Media. Looking into for them as not impressed.

    I’m about to have a stroke. @virginmedia have accepted the charge was in error and no balance is due on the account yet service has not been reconnected (but I’m expected to pay for it), I’ve spent the whole morning dealing with this. @Ofcom what do I do? @MoneyTelegraph

    @virginmedia Tried calling again. How do I get to speak to someone. The automated bot just send a text with a link to the online help that doesn't work and cuts me off. Just not good enough.
