@JessOrchardd @virginmedia I think they know their equipment is faulty and will never work properly. This is my fourth broadband provider and I have never experienced this. It was the only broadband instantly available in my new house. I really should have waited.

@virginmedia Went down at 10.30am Monday and is still down at 10.45pm on Tuesday night and we are having to pay for equipment and a v slow 4G temp connection. Apparently it’s a damaged fibre at a cabinet with 184 customers with no service. You ordered a cable splicer at 4pm today.
