BT person on phone says I have to call my bank to put a bar on the DD they set up. How does a company with service this bad have any customers?

The estimated fix date goes up weekly. Ideas?

Improvements seem to made though, sensible call staff recognising a problem straight off, competent engineer sent ASAP. Just need to sort out recurring problem with local telegraph pole!

As soon as I asked before we go further what is my address and who is my broadband provider he put the phone down.

Sorry, but we’re doing some maintenance on the site at the moment. It should be back...in a short while." How can you be doing "maintenance" in the middle of a working day?
