  • MaclarenDeborah Deborah Maclaren (@MaclarenDeborah) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia No. It's an intermittent problem so is currently working. The message that goes out on the phone line ( when I call in to report when it ISN'T working) says Iit's a ''complex problem' . This is frustrating as your customer services ( appalling) said it would take until Sept 9 th

  • JamieSenitt Jewmie (@JamieSenitt) reported from Richmond, England

Another evening of @virginmedia broadband not working properly ... that’s about 8 days now it’s cut out several times through out the day! Think it time to cancel the contract!

  • Amanda_Davey12 Amanda Davey (@Amanda_Davey12) reported from London, England

@virginmedia I find it insulting that you infer it is a problem my end! Once again, the level of customer care is dreadful, and no fixing of the actual problem that we pay a monthly premium for!

  • gb20man Grant Baartman (@gb20man) reported from Bracknell, England

@virginmedia Sorry to say that I contacted your online chat, but they offered no significant update other than 9th Sept for a fix and no offer of compensation as I am not experiencing a total loss of service. Not happy at all.

  • kslansdown kevin lansdown (@kslansdown) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia Many thanks for your help. I was finally able to get them. ... it did take a week and a lot of wasted time though

  • woodywatford Darren Woodward (@woodywatford) reported from Croxley Green, England

@virginmedia Rang that number, said there wasn’t much they could do. Re did my package as it is currently, and it was £2 more than what I got quoted on Saturday. So just over £30 a month more staying with you. Thanks for trying to help

  • feldmannews Mitchell Feldman (@feldmannews) reported from Bushey Heath, England

@virginmedia my broadband has been down since yesterday and I’ve subscribed to text alerts for updates. Ironically no updates received so I can only assume you need your network to work in order to send them! Come on Virgin, this is unacceptable service.

  • Garrardinho Gary Lager (@Garrardinho) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Can you arrange for one of them to call me tomorrow to resolve as it's a very simple issue but not one I can sort out through your automated service and I don't appreciate being messed about because someone's near the end of their shift.

  • GeoffSp Geoff Speed (@GeoffSp) reported from Ealing, England

@richardmeade13 @virginmedia I understand your pain Richard. We’ve had same problems & now knocked Virgin on head

  • JamieSenitt Jewmie (@JamieSenitt) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia Yes, the old rule of “turn it off and turn it on again” is not a fix.

  • abivedder Abi ن (@abivedder) reported from London, England

@virginmedia still no internet. Very annoying Saturday evening. I have done every single thing advised, have it plugged in by Ethernet at the moment but it still is not working 🤬🤬

  • Amanda_Davey12 Amanda Davey (@Amanda_Davey12) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Unfortunately the guy just put the phone down on me and that link is not working!

  • Amanda_Davey12 Amanda Davey (@Amanda_Davey12) reported from London, England

@virginmedia @virginmedia it goes on, we have had no Internet for 3 months, that’s finally been fixed and now no TV, and I am still on the line, 58 minutes, not sure where the guy has gone, I’m not putting the phone down!

  • abivedder Abi ن (@abivedder) reported from London, England

  • Amanda_Davey12 Amanda Davey (@Amanda_Davey12) reported from London, England

@virginmedia The link was broken, I have made a complaint online, you do have my phone number however, as our technology provider, someone should have called!

  • gb20man Grant Baartman (@gb20man) reported from Bracknell, England

Intermittent network service from @virginmedia again, seems I need to use my reliable personal hotspot from @VodafoneUK - at least I have a fallback plan.

  • PopePower William Pope (@PopePower) reported from Harrow Weald, England

@virginmedia Still waiting for you to reconnect my internet after 8 days... Incredibly lax security - your team informed me that someone called you to set internet up with my address (mistakenly), and you then disconnected our account without warning or notice #wtf #lostearnings

  • JamieSenitt Jewmie (@JamieSenitt) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia Says no known issues, which is what is has said for 3 days. But if that was the case my WiFi, and other people’s in the area, would not be cutting out constantly would it!

  • mistergrainger Robin (@mistergrainger) reported from Brentford, England

@virginmedia No, it's ok today though I got a fairly chocolate teapottish response from @LinkedInHelp 's support case mgt peeps. Am keeping a watching brief

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • mantha_1976 Sam Sims (@mantha_1976) reported

@virginmedia I've done all the home test multiple times and that suggests it's not recognising the hub is connected which it is which suggests a problem with the hub or the cables replacing those is simple and more cost effective than an unnecessary engineer visit.

  • FrameLesley Lesley Frame (@FrameLesley) reported

@virginmedia 4/ would need new ones. I have never been informed of this and the engineer who visited didn't say.The adviser I spoke to last week didn't say this.I am not happy, especially with the way I have been spoken to.I would like someone to call me, who knows what they are talking about

  • mantha_1976 Sam Sims (@mantha_1976) reported

@virginmedia I cannot wait till hubby is COVID free to get the internet back as my studies are 100% online I am agoraphobic and have other issues which means the internet is my only connection to the outside world

  • Martyn_Butler Martyn Butler (@Martyn_Butler) reported

@virginmedia That was an altogether better experience than the first call - why they never referred me I will never understand - all I got was Computer says NO - whats the dead mans password?

  • jplinney john linney (@jplinney) reported

I've been a @virginmedia customer for years. Paying for the highest package. In my time of financial insecurity I called today to reduce my package. Taking away pretty much everything except internet and basic tv and only knocking off £10. (Making my bill £75 a month) #awful

  • StooLawl Stuart (@StooLawl) reported

@virginmedia The web chat solved the issue about the direct debit I had. The account is the same though. Originally phoned to get all changed over a few days ago but then today she got a text about the PAC code

  • C4ther7ine Catherine (@C4ther7ine) reported

@virginmedia just wondering if your call centre has been evacuated? I've been trying to cancel my account via WhatsApp. After 30 mins refusing your expensive upgrades, it's been another 50 waiting for someone to do the cancellation. Where are all your staff?

  • mantha_1976 Sam Sims (@mantha_1976) reported

@virginmedia Than dealing with a customer who is trying to be polite but is sick of awful service from virgin.

  • mantha_1976 Sam Sims (@mantha_1976) reported

@virginmedia You don't even know if it's a fault in the house as no one has run the tests other than me you don't know where I live or anything honestly if awful customer service was an Olympic sport virgin would win gold every time

  • dudley_gray Dudley Gray (@dudley_gray) reported

@virginmedia Now I have just received emails from O2 saying thanks for the order. Youve now signed me up to a sister company with no permission. Wtf is going on
