@jeffsprogress @virginmedia @Hyperoptic I was with Hyperoptic for 4 years, not a single outage I can recall. Swapped to Virgin Media last autumn because they offered a cheaper and better deal. Had nothing but problems since. And now they have the temerity to hike the bills. When I can swap back to Hyperoptic, I will.

Appalling from @virginmedia today! The whole network in shambles today, no one working from has been able to do anything! Just spent 40 minutes listening to Footlose in their phone queue and as I got to the front, they put the phone on me! Absolute shambles!

@virginmedia Broadband down again this morning in SE London, got through to customer services and they advised the outage expected to be fixed by 12th April. No compensation offered and I would have to pay a penalty to cancel my contract.

@CynthiaRao4 In my area Virgin Media is the worst provider. You have to be a stoic to stay with them. But my road doesn’t have it anyway so I am with BT. Pricy but reliable; engineers visited twice at the beginning. I didn’t need customer service for years (and considering it as a bonus)

@virginmedia Had outage on Wi-Fi lunch time. Start of groundhog week like last week. Phoned VM on 789 who sent me a text. A while later it worked. So I didn’t look at the link. Checked it out at 22.45. I cried laughing. It wouldn’t work due to intermittent faults in our area. Groundhog week?
